Anyone know if I can swap colones for Canadian dollars at Scotia Bank or anywhere else other than the airport?

I got Canadian dollars at Scotia. They suggest if you need a large quantity to contact the branch in advance so they make sure they have enough on hand.

When do you need it? I'm coming down Thursday & wouldn't mind getting some colones. PM me if you want.

I tried to exchange some Canadian dollars once at Scotia (on the east side) and the tellers had never seen Canadian money 5s and 20s. Can you imagine what they would think if I attempted to exchange a Loonie?

I bought Canadian dollars and sold Canadian dollars to a branch of Scotia Bank with no problem. However, the branch where I usually bank told me that did not due exchange of Canadian dollars and directed me to another branch. If your branch does not have them ask them which branch in the area does.

The twoonie looks far more fake than the loonie 8)

I get a kick out of showing the chicas Canadian money. Most say they've never seen it before.
