Taking my first trip to SJ in a few weeks, I have been to Jaco 2 years ago. On my previous trip I spent my last night in a hotel close to the airport and there was a really nice casino within walking distance from the Hotel. Does anyone know what the name of the casino is?

Sounds like the Fiesta Casino. Never been myself, but there are many CRT brothers who have written about it.

The casino is the Fiesta as MH stated. There are two hotels on the same grounds The Hampton Inn and the Garden Court. There is also a Denny's restaurant.

I just remembered one of the hotels, I think it is the garden Court, now operates as a Holiday Inn Express or some name very similar to that.

Here's some posts from 2009 on the Fiesta:

Then plug in 29936 or 29157 or 25945
That last Thread has some good links on Blackjack by Brother Witling...which you're gonna need if Brother VegasBob is playing too--he's legendary.

Fiesta... confirmed again... just an FYI, if you like dancing... have enough skills to pick up the non-pro's... It's a great club on Fri/Sat nights... lots of dancing. It's the only place in CR that i've scored non-pro's! Of course, paid in the bar tab... but still cool

The vibe was great when I went there back in 2008, Lots of attractive non pros, and a really nice bar area with a band. Thanks for the info

I never knew it was a fun disco at night so now I will check it out. Always fantasized that in one of my trips I would stay in Alajuela the whole time and check out the scene there. When I rented a car in 08 drove in and around Ala and found this really fun looking cantina nearish the bus terminal in town but never got to visit. Now there are a couple places to check out there in addition to the MPs...

I also remember on one of my earlier trips I stayed at a hotel not too far from the airport (maybe 15 minute drive). At that time it was called the Melia Cariari and it had a really nice higher end casino. I think the hotel may have a different name now due to ownership change but not sure.

Is this the one you're thinking of, Brother BT? I'll take the Pres. Suite on my grand-tour post-lottery-winning expedition (as long as there is no Chica fee):

Think I can hire Brother JM to put together a trio to play some tunes in the lobby?

DT:

The casino is the Fiesta Casino and the hotel is the Holiday Inn Express. Monday night is good -- Ladies Night and Friday Night has a good dance show followed by live music. Last week I saw the best live band I have ever seen in CR. There are ladies, but to be honest I didn't have any energy to try.
