Negotiate the room rate at a hotel for a 3 month stay. Access to internet, maid service, laundry service and breakfast is a big plus....also having the desk clerk taking messages for you is important.

You can sometimes find apartments for short-term leases, and the hotel rincon, near SL, has an apartment it rents by the week.

Here's the hotel Brother Mongeral mentioned.

A "Search" here will turn up other alternatives (VistaLinda, etc.).

Last I'd heard......Hotel Rincon was NOT chica friendly; seems to attract the eco-tourists. It's directly across the street from Cafe Mundo.

Best bet is an apartment. Scotland, Sudamer, Vista Linda all chica friendly.

Contact Matt at the Hotel Amistad. Location is good, the bar is excellent. No putas in the lobby (which I think is good) though it's certainly chica-friendly, he has some very large suites & I've run into several Canadians spending 6 weeks or more there & all have been very positive.

There's usually some "long termers" at the Hotel Castillo, as well.

I haven't seen any reports on this hotel in a while but the last I heard was that the HOTEL Rincon was not chica friendly HOWEVER if you stayed in their APARTMENT you could pretty much come and go as you wished. I don't know if that is still true but that's what I heard.

Furnished apts are the way to go for a 3 month stay. Scotland is good for this setup.

Pro.....You may well be correct. I wasn't aware they had an apartment. Everytime I walk past the place, I see lots of eco-tourists coming and going.

Pro.....I noticed on another thread, you mentioned you sometimes stay at the Nuevo Johnson. You never struck me as a "Nuevo Johnson kind of guy," not that there's anything wrong with that. I had you figured for a "Presidente or Sportsmens Lodge kind of guy." :?

Sort of like trying to match a face to someone's voice. :P
