I K*D you not, tonight on my way to Escazu from the HDR in my car, I was stopped by transito police 5! times. Each time they spent 10-15 minutes trying to tell my photocopies weren't good enough, that I didn't have a stamp (it was the new printed one), that they didn't know anything about the new stamp, etc...

Twice I was stopped at checkpoints, three times in drive by's..

They are really looking for that bribe money to get their christmas shopping done.

TMG, Hope you escaped without having to pay.

If they are that desperate it seems to make the case for either taking a cab or getting a room for the night until the Happy Holiday Season is past.
