Gents,

Last night about 12:30 I was walking back to my hotel with a Chica in what I considered to be a somewhat safe area. Would not be fair for me to name the hotel I'm staying at because the hotel is very secure, within 3 blocks of the DR and I don't want anyone to avoid staying at the hotel because of this Report. This report has nothing to do with the hotel or it's location.

I have done this walk at almost all times of the day and night numerous times in the past without incident.

I am not a newbie, think I know my way around the gulch area and for instance would never consider walking at night from let's say the DR to SL. It's just not smart.

Enough set up.

We were approaching our hotel when three young punks approached us from behind, pulled a knife, one grabbed my arm while the other two told the Chica to "give them her purse or they will stab her". She screamed I yelled for help and broke away from the 100 pound punk holding my arm. Within seconds they took off running away because of the noise we made.

The only thing that saved our ass was the noise a metal plate on the sidewalk made as the first C*ck sucker ran over it. The plate was about 20 feet behind us and it gave us just enough warning to turn around and face them.

I have no doubt their plan was to run up behind us and attack us from behind.

Bottom Line. I know most of you have heard this before but be careful. Always be aware of who is around you. We were very very very lucky.

Anytime we are walking the street with a girl we need to be aware that we are at greater risk. The bad guys know you can't just run if you are escorting a woman and they will take advantage if they can....
