5 years ago I drove to Dominical. The road between Quepos (starting at the airport) and Dominical was a kidney pounding experience. Does anybody know if this has been fixed up?

Also, near Dominical there is a town called Uvita.
Up in the mountainside there was a small hotel and restaurant called El Balcon De Uvita. A dutch guy and his Indonesian wife owned it. She was the cook, and the food was off the charts good. I discovered today that they sold the place and it now has a different name. Any new info on the new place, and especially info on the possible where-abouts of the Dutch guy and his wife would be appreciated. If she is still cooking somewhere, I want to find out where.
thanks,
EMB

I drove the road in April, and it was graded since I previously drove it... but still rough and dusty. The bridge over Rio Portolon was down (again), so we had to ford the river in our vehicles.

Brother Elmedicobueno--Giving one or the other of the Dutch/ Indonesian couples names would be a help--everything's on the Web somewhere.
