Post subject:  Newbies Get Together - Every Friday
Halloween weekend made me realize how many first timers are still coming down to San Jose. Based on some feedback I got from the new guys, The Hotel Dunn Inn will be hosting a newbie get together every Friday at 3pm. I will host and will be inviting other veterans to sit in. We will provide a question and answer session, introductions and directions to all the hot spots.

All of this information is spread out in the board and with many different views. Our intent is to make sure you all have simple, direct advice to ensure that you have a fun, cost effective and safe trip.

Our daily happy hour and free fresh popcorn will be in effect.

A great idea as long as CRT-specific material isn't given to non-paids (like the monger map). I'd bet even long-term or mouthy members (I'm raising my hand here) could benefit. It's all give-and-take. right?

Is that the new word for it? Does butter replace oil based lube? Did I miss it in the VIP weekly newsletter? :lol: With SL Thur HH and this DI Friday HH, it should be good for all new members. Great idea. It seems I have monger bad luck. Happy hours to meet and drink after I join and have been there, Helpe in Rio closing before I can go, Pirates Club now sucks as I was planning to go at the end of Nov.

Yes color maps and a discussion of how to orient yourself downtown will be available to VIP members. We really do have a stand-alone popcorn machine and make it fresh every day at 3pm. After two months here of informally doing it with new guys and three years of helping the new guys at SL, I thought organizing it would be beneficial. Most guys come in on Thursday or Friday morning. At 3:00 you typically have already hit NF or HLH (both 1 block or so from the DI) and your head should be clear. It is also before the party gets rolling at the SL (5-6 most days). I encourage any vets who would like to help to stop by. Our Happy Hour is the best priced in downtown.

Lol Hank,

Full glasses of red wine in bed with one of our favorite local PSE girls is definitely a bad combo. With all that red stain on the bed I bet you thought she had exploded your heart. :lol: :shock:
