Since brother Ydogi's post of the CR distraction, I too had this problem (not sure if I have recovered). But, between my last two trips, I was distracted for at least a week. I have Netflix and never saw the series "The Wire". Turned out to be really good. In fact, I was able to knock off 10 days of waiting bcs I got into the series. When I had showtime, the series "Dexter" caught my attention for a week. Wonder if you guys have had any distractions that help pass the time.

And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

if its tv shows we're talking, I'm really liking the The League, which is about guys doing fantasy football. Also my old steady Nip/Tuck.

As far as time between trips, I dont know if there are really any good distractions. I mean, CR seems to be always on my mind. I just suffer through days at work, knowing that at some point, I'll be back living the life I should be living every day, and that gets me through. The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

Right now I'm just waiting for the new year, once its January, I'll have vacation days again. Already burned my 3 weeks this year.

Funny story. A brother here mentioned pornhub in a post. I checked it out, why not. Don't go there. They have a latina section and live latina web cam all free. Talk about torture! I figured we would keep it to good things, like TV or maybe something else.

On the subject of tv shows i really like Californication. i was on a business trip a few weeks ago and loaded the first 2 seasons on my laptop upon my friends recommendation. Turned out to be a great distraction for my downtime...

i forgot to mention i think it was filming of this show that lead to David Duchovny's sex addiction...so on the other hand it may not be a good idea to get into this show, his character gets a lot of sex.

The Wire is a fanfuckingtastic show. I tout this one to all that will listen; on a par with the Sopranos. Rent the DVD with the first few shows, and you'll be hooked. While you can't go wrong with staples like Goodfellas, and Hoosiers(and I wouldn't be a true maple syrup guzzling Canuck if I didn't tout 'Slaphot'), see if you can find "Old Boy"; it's sneaky good. If you can't be banging a tica with hockey on the tube in the background, these will do.

My distraction is work 6 days/week, if I had nothing better to do than watch TV, well I'd buy a plane ticket.

Yeh, work and planning for my next trip. Pretty much a, well, full time job!

Of course, without the job I wouldn't be planning any trips but what a pain sometimes. It can really get in the way of my trips!

Workout and learn Spanish between trips. Motivational and beneficial

I decided last week to swear off Costa Rica Ticas, except for very brief periods of time. As with any obsession, do everything with moderation. I was logging in many times per day. What a waste of time. Now I just log in during very short periods of time, early morning or late in the evening. I have to wait for 5 more months before I can come and I cannot torture myself any more. I want to focus all of my energy on work and making money. I do have other hobbies that I can throw myself into also.

My hobby is researching and communicating info to my CRT Brothers. In between times, I watch TV series, specifically Canadian TV series on DVD from Netflix. 2 I've liked are "Intelligence" and "Da Vinci's Inquest". I also have enjoyed the US series previously mentioned. Catching a theme here? Police procedurals.
