CR is blowing out the US again in another World Cup qualifier, this time in DC. The CR team must be angry because the're staying at the Watergate with their ticas, and last night a group of Republican plumbers broke into one of their rooms. They must have been looking for some deep throat. I heard this story from an impeachable source.

US ties game as time runs out. This game was meaningless to the US, but a tie probably cost the Ticos their last chance to get to the World Cup. In the meantime American fans are celebrating like they won the World Cup.

GREAT GAME. US SCORES IN OT (STOPPAGE TIME) TO EVEN THE MATCH. GREAT FINISH. TWO TICO COACHES WERE SENT OFF THE FIELD LATE IN THE MATCH. DC COPS HAD TO ESCORT THEM!

Fortunately for CR, they still have a play-in game vs. Uruguay so there is still hope.

As for the US, the come back was huge as it should get them a little higher seed, which is everything when it comes to Group selection.

I watched the game at a Tico bar with friends and I do not think I have ever seen so much emotion of fans watching a sporting event - at the end I saw some grown men crying (and lots of ticas openly crying). Wow, what a finish - I had mixed emotions as I was happy for Costa Rica as the fans were sooo happy - however I must admit to being proud that the US played so well in the last few minutes and made that incredible finish!
