"grey hair on your back." Bwaha ha ha! This is a pretty funny article. Actually, its pretty accurate as well. Especially about this hobby showing "signs of addiction." You got that right. I have been addicted to babes since I was like 7 and started reading Playboy well, actually, I didn't read the articles back then. ![]() http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... 6119.story |

"Others cavort with three girls at once, the women all clutching their client like daughters competing for Daddy's attention." And this is a bad thing? Hey, it's kept Hugh Hefner young for over 55 years. |

I've come to the conclusion that media interest in mongering is limited to slams on the guys for sure. The articles can't decide whether the women are victims or criminals, or morally turbid females. If there is one guaratee about human culture, its that sex for pleasure or sport is always going to be viewed as abnormal. Even in Roman society, which may have come as close as any to accepting mongering, it was still viewed as a kind of bad thing, and often there were political purges and attempts to clean up society. Even the emperor Hadrian ordered the public bathhouses to be segregated after a series of scandals. I have not been across anything in history books about those scandals, but given the Roman penchant for excess, it must have been good. ![]() |

Maybe our LA Brothers can answer this one--When did a formerly serious newspaper like The LA Times turn to publishing this kind of sensationalist, floridly-written tripe? This article wouldn't be out of place in a 2nd-tier tabloid. Sad, just sad. |

Almost all print media has turned the corner. Survival outweighs ethics. ![]() |

Yeah, I agree with you, Brother ID. Actually I should have thought that through before posting. Most American newspapers began life as inflammatory partisan rags, even The Great Grey Lady. It was only much later that they adopted the mantle as the arbiters and reporters of objective truth. Some of them anyway. What was I thinking?? |

I enjoyed reading the articale. Gives me ideas. It has kept hugh young having 3 bunnies on his arm. And two have started their own shows now. With their mothers and grandmothers. Isn't it funny that it is ok for grandmothers to enjoy the fruits of their labor!!!! But us guys who are paying are bums. Except Hugh. I guess it is how much you are paying. |

Jazzbo, My understanding is that the LA Times has been bought by the same parent company that owns the Chicago Tribune. Expect a lot of changes over the next year. Selling newspapers is getting darn hard these days. I'd expect a lot more tabloid articles to come in the future. I wouldn't want to be in publishing these days. Even Readers Digest is in Chapter 11. |
