Saw it last night on Netflix (watch now). English subtitles but took place in Costa Rica on the east coast. Supposed to take place in Puerto Viaje & Limon. Looked nice there.

Yes, I just saw it on Netflix last week, too. All of it was filmed in Puerto Viejo, Cocles, Manzanillo and the banana plantation just outside of BriBri. I recognized many of the sights in the flick. When I was in Maxi's Restaurant over the 2008 New Year celebration, my amigas saw an autographed poster of the cast and told me all about the movie.

The plot supposedly focused on stopping the off-shore oil exploration, but was quickly overcome by all the tico romance and drama. It was somewhat entertaining, and the Spanish dialogue was helpful, so I gave it 3 stars.
