I play poker and have had many of the older gents tell me they have never been but would like to go but would like to have things organized for them. I have no idea how to put together something like this. Do I need to be licensed, insurance, ect. Any input or info would be greatly appreciated as I am looking into this seriously. Thanks. |

To escort a trip down from the states? Couldn't you just collect all the money up front in the states then pay for the group when down there? Then it is US based with no CR bureacracy other then negotiating putas! ![]() |

That's what I want to do and I just want to make sure that if I advertise or act as a tour company that I have all the travel agent/tour operator licensing and other things that might be required before doing so. I don't want any legal problems. I would just have an orientation once we get there and then they can do what ever they want. I would be available for questions and help at reasonable times. |

I have wanted to do the same thing!!! That would be about the best job I can imagine. There isn't any website or anything like that set-up. I know I met some guys there once and they paid for everything I did, including girls just to stick with them and show them the ropes. It would be a great venture, let me know if it's something you go ahead with! |

DROP THIS IDEA AND RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM IT AS POSSIBLE. According to CR law, you are pimping, benefitting from prostitution. According to US law, you are setting up sex travel, which is often linked to pervs looking for und***ge K*ds. YOU ARE RISKING MAJOR PRISON TIME IN BOTH COUNTRIES. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree with the last two posts after reading their opinions. Too bad there is not away around this to protect oneself legally but no matter how far away you are from what these guys choose to do on their own while there the blame would be put on the person running the gig. And eventually some sick SOB would end up doing something to a minor. I could not live with that. All that aside, this can be a great place to throw out ideas and see what comes back. There are some companies that pay big bucks to find out what to market, ect. Thanks for the feedback guys. DRD |

In over 3 years going to and from Costa Rica, I have told ONE person about the opportunity. Some guys aren't mentally set up for it. Others will want to share their moral or religious ideas with you. If a guy finds it on his own then he is probably a better candidate to have success traveling here. |

I already checked into this years ago. The above post is correct about promoting prostitution and pimping charges. one could easily be charged and face major prison time for this. The marketing that you would need to do this would invite prosecution. There already lots of idiots on the internet advertising "adult vacations" where they will set you all up with a puta. This is totally illegal. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I am a lawyer. believe me when I say this. Us mongers have to find our own chicks. If you want to be a straight travel agent where all you do is book flights and hotels that would require a license from your state in the USA but would not require a license in Costa Rica unless you are conducting tours in country. With the internet so easy, i doubt most people would want to pay extra for you to book air and hotel as it is so easy with one click nowadays. |

I would suggest that they just buy your ticket hotel and drinks etc for the favor of being a tour guide but thats the limit of what you can do dont try to make cash off of it or you will be in trouble |

Well there's more than 1 person around here already doing it so the fine line is somewhere, someone posted the link to a certain PI that offers a "Gentleman Player vacation" which includes "Chasing-the-Chiccas" ![]() |

![]() There are a number of lawyers who specialize in free speech issues. These lawyers can tell you how to set it up and word things correctly so the LE types cannot bother you.But they are costly and am not sure in the long run if your rate of return would justify the expense. It is an option though. |

The risk far outweighs the reward. In CR, my understanding is that you can be arrested for suspicion and held without the ability to post bail for quite some time - while the authorities decide if they even have a case. Take them fishing. The boat captains always seem to have some extra first mates around to help out. |

I don't think how you word your ad in the U.S. to avoid law enforcement issues is the main issue. When you get to CR pimping is pimping is pimping period. Hardly worth the risk of spending a few years in a Costa Rica jail. |

I agree it is not worth the risk or hassle. But to play devil's advocate, why is an MP not pimping, but someone bringing people to an MP is? |
