One of my Colombiana regulars e-mailed me today and said that at the DR they are excluding colombianas and dominicanas from working in the bar there. She said she does all of her business out of the DR or SL and is worried that she won't be able to make a living.
Has anyone heard anything about this yet?
She said Nicas and Ticas were OK, but apparently someone has the red-ass about too many colombianas and dominicanas getting too much business.

Now there will be a larger and better selection at the SL, and with the competition prices will drop as the ratio changes, and would have to drop in any case to meet the existing SL market.

I wonder what the cause of this is... IF its true, I would HOPE That the chicas figure out that they now can spread out to other destinations... OTHERWISE, this could really dent the logistics of CR...

I just hung up the phone with a regular tica and wished I had seen this post before so I could ask her. I'll call in the next couple of days to see if she has heard anything.

Sounds like bullshit to me. I haven't been in the DR for the last few days but prior to that the ratio was the same as always. I talk to the owners of the DR from time to time,and I can tell you firsthand that the ONLY thing they care about is MAKING MONEY. The more chicas that go there....the more Gringos........the more money they make. So long as the chicas are "legal" they are welcome be they Ticas, Colombianas or anything else. Now if you say that immigration is causing problems....that's another story. The immigration dept. hasn't been causing and problems for the chicas is several months. I am going to Panama tomorrow for a few days and my good friend Papichullo tells me that immigration there has hastled many Colombianas in the Veneto hotel Casino and bar.

It sounds to me like the poster of this subject should get ready for some RFMs from the poor Colombiana who says she can't make a living.

I doubt if that is true. If it is true, so be it! I like nicas and ticas best anyway.

Nope, this has nothing to do with a request for money. This girl and I go way back.
Of course it is immigration driving this, but she's afraid the DR will knuckle under and weed out as many colombianas and dominicanas as they have to to get immigracion off of their backs.
She was also afraid that the SL would be next, though. It may all just be a nasty rumor, but I'm still wondering if anyone has heard anything more specific.

Yes immigration may be one of the leading causes but maybe the Ticas/Nicas have a way to organize and push the extranjeros out due to dificil economia and more Ticas/Nicas desperately needing this type work now?

Mongeral, where is your friend getting this info? Is it anecdotal, and if so are any of the other girls saying this? If it is something impending then what is the source of the info?

Has anybody heard this rumour from any other source?
