Dear Circus,

Things just ain't the same around here without you. We got Perro Sucio battling Squidface, newbies with many questions, Medellin replacing San Jose as the principal topic of discussion, and very little humor overall in the posts made to CRT. We need you, buddy! Please stop exercising that forearm and visit us again! We miss your tales of life in the Pits of Jax. :D

Circus, we do miss you, we have been worried about Shitass the cat, is he O K ? :?

Boudreau.... Shitass is a "she," not a he-cat. :D It's the only p*ssy ol' Circus can keep at hand. I spoke with Circus yesterday. He's okay, pissed off at his job, cynical as ever... and I suspect that sadly, we have seen the last of him on CRT.

El C. That is truly sad and I hope not true. Sorry to phuck up the gender of Shitass.

Boudreau, not to put words in Circus' mouth, but let's look at his history both on CRT and on the board which preceded it.

Circus has been traveling to Latin America and C.R. in particular, since the 1970's. He has participated in forums like this one and CRS for more than a decade.

With many new members, some of whom having proven themselves to be less than gentlemen and others much younger than he, Circus feels that he has little in common with the vast majority of CRT'ers. I think he feels that his wit, humor and wisdom are neither wanted nor appreciated. I've tried to convince him otherwise, but he's a decorated war veteran, a staunch political conservative, and an old fart to boot. And let's not forget, stubborn as a mule with a 3-day old hard-on.

I guess each of us will burn out in his own way someday. It would appear that Circus has done exactly that. :(

I am just thankful for everything that Circus has contributed to CRT, and even more grateful for his true friendship. He is truly one of a kind.

I agree with all Brother El Ciego said, and urge any newer members to "Search" for Brother Circus's posts--I did and was well rewarded for the (little) effort. We'll never see his like again and more's the pity--this from somebody who only knows him from his writing. We'll miss that lovely (?) old gentlemanly curmudgeon--that's not the oxymoron it seems. Read him, and be amused and edified.

Jazzbo... "lovely" wouldn't quite be the adjective I would use. :P  Look in the Members gallery for a pic of the man himself, taking white cane travel lessons on Av. C. from El Ciego. :D

You can tell it's Circus, because his T-shirt says so....

Some precious Circus moments:

* Being told he had to leave the BM because his inflate-a-date Huggy was "bringing disrepute to the bar."

* Moonwalking like Michael Jackson at the -06 CRT Anniversary Party

* Not only are there Cardboard Inn photos, but there is an entire video production with music and everything.... check youtube.

* Being robbed by trannies, then befriending a tranny named Tony.

* Hanging his underwear out to dry...out a window at the Presidente

* The infamous Napkin Debacle, also at the Presidente

* Karaoke stylings...man has a helluva voice, can dance and can party with the best of us.

Send Circus a "love PM" today. Tell him he's wanted and needed around here! Show him some respect....he's earned it.

BTW, although he won't talk much about it, he's a decorated, two-tour Vietnam veteran. That alone earns my deepest respect. :!:
And, he has forgotten more about C.R. and mongering than any of us will ever learn...and with guys like Irish Drifter, Prolijo, Don Papi', Pacifica55, ThirdWorld, the Mad German, LivinC.R., LVSteve, Vegas Bob and Bilko (among other veterans), that's really saying something.

So send the old coot a PM today!

Met Circus a few times and his Michael Jackson is great to see. Saw him do it at the 4th and 5th year parties too.

In talking with him he has more wisdom on things than just CR and mongering.

I for one have enjoyed his posts and understood his humor. Scary isn't it. :D

I also took El Cs' advice and PM'd him.

I too met Circus once..

He made a showing at a SL Party.
I still remember his regal manner.

Didn't Circus actually fly to CR once dressed in a clown outfit?

I never will forget when, Saturday of Labor Day weekend '06, Morazon apartments screwed me over and I had no place to stay, Circus offered to share his room with me. That is the kind of thing that shows his character and bodes well for the kind of guys that built this board.
