Anyone have any knowledge on IT services and software development companies in Costa Rica? I'm looking for alternates to the usual suspects (India, Eastern Europe, etc.). I have a couple of Indian companies I do business with, but I'm looking for an alternative closer to my timezone (EST). Not to mention it would give me a great excuse to "visit" SJO on business!!! mh |

Well, I know there are some here. However, i've not been impressed with the quality of the work i've seen from Costa Rican software developers. Maybe what i've seen is not representative, but there seems to be very little attempt to follow processes or become better at their craft. |

Even with what Brother TMG said, that doesn't mean (a) a little more looking couldn't yield good results and MAINLY (b) that you couldn't throw a small, irrelevant piece to a CR company to give you the excuse you seek. How's that for devious? |

Oh, I'll keep looking. This is happening one way or the other. And my choices are going to be San Jose OR Dominican Republic. ![]() And absolutely it'll be a small. low-risk project to test them out first. |
