A couple of evenings ago I approached a potential mate for a few hours at the DR. She was a fairly cute chica (not beautiful) with very lagre mammeries. We sat with a drink and chatted the usual bullshit. I asked where she was from and she answered Desemperatos which for those of you who are Google search disadvantaged, is a poor suburb af SJ. All is well so far.Then I bring up the potential of going to my apartment in Escazu. Next came the shock of the week.I asked her "quanto" and she responded $150 for one hour. I asked "Are you sure you aren't from Colombia?" She gave me an unknowing stare and I politely stood up and left. WTF is going on....now even the chicas from Desemperatos think they have the same genes as the "high-priced spread".

Hell, she might of been working for Cancun *******, but decided to give you the "half-price" special !

A few "brief" comments

1) There ARE some Colombianas who realize the bad reputation Colombianas have and just SAY they're from somewhere else. In this case, she MIGHT have actually been FROM Colombia but just happened to be LIVING in Desamparados and was fudging her answer. But I don't really think that actually was the problem here.

2) What makes this even more surprising is that she made that offer to an apparent ex-pat rather than to some just off the plane newbie. Experienced HDR/BM chicas should realize that guys who actually live in CR know the score and are much less likely to fall for one of those ridiculous first offers. OTOH, it wouldn't be particularly surprising if she wasn't really that saavy.

3) Maybe what you got was an intentionally unrealistic "blow-off offer". It's possible that she just found you so old and disgusting that she just didn't want to have anything to do with you for anything less than double her normal rate, though I doubt that was the problem here either. OTOH, its also possible she was blowing you off because she really didn't want to schlep out to Escazu, THINKING she might be able to make twice as many scores in the same time by sticking to guys she could take upstairs.

you should've countered with 25k, "30k if you are good", just to get her reaction.

Hey Prolijo....thanks for FINALLY posting something that an OLD GEEZER like me can read without falling asleep first. lol you also hit it right on the head ( without your usual extraneous 5000 words of bullshit) when you said that she didn't want to go with me because I am "old and discusting". thanks for all your help my friend.

actually, she was probably so taken aback by VB's suave manner and rugged good looks, that she was ashamed to even ask for anything.

in fact, she was quite likely torn between offering VB money (which she did not have...ie...desamparados) and so made a high offer knowing it would be turned down.

this saved her time to come up with enough money to offer VB for a future encounter.

VB, being a gentleman, would probably decline payment or maybe just a bottle of mouthwash for his services.

I think we're starting to see more civilians dipping their toes in the water, and they really have an inflated self-worth because they don't think of themselves as puta's. They'll quickly learn they're going to have to lower their prices if they want to earn anything.

Hey VB, do not feel too bad; A friend and I were setting in the SL this afternoon with two guys who have only been here a couple of times. A so-so chica(maybe a 6 and my friend and I agreed on this) came over and started talking to the other 2 guys. After a few minutes one of them leaned over and said "she just asked $150 for 1 hour, can you believe that???. hell I could not believe she would ask that even in the REY, and surely not in SL. What the hell is going on with these chicas . OH well, sure am glad I have my regulars

It may have been the schlepping out to Escazu part but I think Brother TheMadGerman was on to something. Those not normally in sales, trying to sell anything personal (car, house, boat, whatever) usually overvalue the goods in a given market and have to be talked back down into reality, and those doing the talking down frequently encounter stiff resistance to the pitch. And after all, especially to a non-pro, what's more personal than her body (SHE'S not generic--SHE'S special)? Non-pros don't look for repeat business--a big 1-time score satisfies the immediate need and when things get better, she'll never do this thing again--not with you anyway. Not looking for it, doesn't want it. A true pro OTOH...

I agree with Jazzbo and TMG but, and I do not mean this in any way to be negative against VB or anyone else who lives in Escazu, the chicas look at ALL gringos as being "rich' and if the gringo lives in escazu, he is VERY RICH!! I have, over the years, heard several chicas say that if the potiential "negocio" lives in Escazu and wants her company, he will have to pay more because of the distance and time involved and because "he can aford it". Hmmm, in that method of thinking, the chicas are not that much different than their Gringa counterparts. , but also I know from VBs record with the chicas, not all of them feel that way.
