Pimsleur has been mentioned through the years here as the consensus pick as best way to learn Spanish by yourself. Thanks Brother for the online reference.
You might want to discard that self-serving tagline though--folks here (and I'm one of them) have a problem with a business in which you might have a financial interest being advertised, especially by a non-CRT VIP.

Yo preferio visitando CR, or otro lugares al sur de nuestro pais :) Si esto no es posible puedo mirar el canal one en mi Direct tv cada manana con mi cafe.

yes, here in SoFla, it is a good idea to at least be conversant in spanish.

come to think of it, anywhere in the western hemisphere is a good place to be conversant in spanish (brazil excepted)

I would one day like to be able to speak spanish at a professional level.

not always easy when one gets older, (like over 25....lol)

anyway, each section took about 12 minutes over a DSL connection to download.

how did you figure out or get the free download?

now, I listen to the lessons whenever I'm broswing the internet or working on the computer.
