How do I get valium in San Jose? I want to bring a sizable amount back home with me. I don't speak Spanish...will that make it difficult for me to get it? |

Hey 5191 You might want to familiarize the CRT Rules of Conduct before going any deeper with your question. Here is what subsection 3 says; “Any discussion of illegal drugs in any way shape or form is strictly prohibited.†I believe that trying to bring back to the states a sizeable amount could get your arse in a jam if caught. Just my 2 cents worth and I wouldn’t want to see anyone get in a jam over something stupid. ![]() |

Valium is not illegal at all.It is controlled, but not illegal. So the poster is not making any controversial requests. The term sizeable amount is the interesting question.Do you want a personal supply, like maybe 3 months worth? That is not an unusual purchase, just make sure you have a script from a US doctor for it.Customs and Irritation officers will not bother you for that. |

YOu can bring back a three month supply without hassle. Amounts larger than that could bring trouble. If you dont have a script from the US many pharmacies in CR will write you one. The customs agents are not looking for legal meds but rather illegal recreational substances and explosives. |

I want to bring a sizable amount back home with me. I don't speak Spanish...will that make it difficult for me to get it? Walk out of LaAmistad Hotel, turn left, cross the railroad tracks and continue 1 block to the pharmacy. It is a small place and you may have to wait in line. ask the lady for valium, she will ask for passport copy, no charge for presciption. At the time I was there, she only had 5gram Roche valieum . 25 in a box for 7500 colones. |

By sizeable amount, I don't mean enough to sell. This is for personal use only. |

Sucre farmacia used to sell stuff like that but as of the last trip I took you are correct. They no longer will. The one near amistad seems to be less restrictive in what they will sell. |

FYI, more then 100 tabs is, under the federal law, a trafficking amount. The further away from downtown the friendlier the Pharmarcies, You're playing with fire without a prescription. Get caught, see you 3 yrs at worse, 5 to 10k fine at minimum. Just my 2colons Flaco |

A CR prescription is as worth as much as a square of Charmin extra soft. You must have a prescription from a FDA (& DEA I believe)licensed doctor. |

Orange is right about a script from an American doctor. Even if you get it filled in Cr. And they have changed it from 90 days to 30 days. I posted about this at the Charrolette airport. Now if you have residesnce oversea's I would think you would be like any other tourist carrying your med's. The issue of medical tourist who go and get an operation oversea's I do not know how an American doctor could know what med's or complucations you might have or med's you would need when returning. I think they are trying to dicourage medical tourism by these rules. But, the guy's implementing the rules are normal guys like us. So, I would think if you showed them the cuts they would let you thru with 30 days. But lots of rules are changing every day. |

Orange and Redman are absolutely correct. Furthermore, many docs worldwide are being more cautious in their prescription of benzodiazapine drugs (Valium/diazepam, Xanax/alprazolam,, etc.) However, if you can find a doctor in C.R. who will prescribe one of these minor tranquilizers, the farmacia will sell it to you. Note that the C.R. prescription is only valid for filling the scrip in C.R. and does not allow you to bring the medications into the U.S. It is smart to talk to your regular U.S. physician. Get a scrip from him, allowing you to take 3 tablets/day. Explain to him that you have no intention of using that much; you simply want to import the maximum legal amount. He may balk, but many M.D.'s are sensitive to the health care crisis and may agree to help you. It's also important to talk to your doc at home, because each of the benzos work differently. Valium is a long-acting tranquilizer, it has pretty harsh carryover for many patients and is addictive. Xanax OTOH is a short-acting tranq, and it is very suitable for easing anxiety while traveling/flying etc. Again, I'm not an M.D., so please talk with your doc at home before coming to C.R. and trying to discreetly buy, then import a medication for which you have no U.S. prescription. ![]() |

I'll be the third person, maybe the fourth, who says .......YOU SIR, ARE ABSOUTLY CORRECT. A DEA number, for a US Doctor is required. Flaco in S.Fla-du |
