Do you have any recommendations for a calling card to call from USA to CR? I come down a couple times a year and have some local buddies I like to call. Anything you learned the hard way about the card?

My new magicjack works great for .06/min, .07 calling cellphones but the chicas never answer.

I caved into all the advertising and recently purchased a Boost phone. It works great! No contracts, unlimited minutes, texting, walkie talkie, internet (though somewhat limited) and unlimited international calling. All this for $50 a month. It's not a 3G phone but I've not yet had any issues with it. I've called Costa Rica and Canada several times with it and had no problems. The best part is the lack of the screwy billing that often goes along with cell phone contracts.

Take them a Majic phone with your area code and call for free (19.95 Year). The majic works good in CR.

Speaking of which, anyone know if they still sell phone cards at the DR front desk?
