Is it because of an inordinately high rate of narcissistic personality disorder or is it simply the "latina caliente" culture?

Most of the chicas seem normal in other personality aspects so I am voting "latina caliente."

Here in MDE when you want to close the deal just mention the music and the mirror. They (pro's and non's) get all excited just thinking about it. It turns them on big time.......then add in how much it turns you on to watch her dance in the mirror.......

Good thing I have a couple large mirrors en la habitacion tambien!

yes i am aware of the mirror phenomena. and i also enjoy watching them preen and prance in front of it like they want to Phuck themselves.
much more so than the avg. woman.

I don't know why, but I have noticed this too. I mean, I know why I noticed it, but not why it happens.

Seems like a fairly normal thing to me. The chica's living is based on how attractive she can make herself to men, at least in large part. They have to try to look their best at all times to make sure the hair is still right, the makeup is in place, no touch-ups are necessary, etc.

After a while looking into a mirror becomes automatic. It's a professional practice. I'd even venture to say that in pretty much all professions that rely to some degree on esthetics this trait is fairly common.

I noticed it too in MDE, and was actually a bit annoyed by it. Pro's & non pro's. I even met this really hot, older late 30's professional businesswomen an she would not stop fussing at her mirror and playing with her hair, make up etc. I said "relax, you look beautiful." Well we had been smiling and exchanging glances but this really got her going, she unbuttoned 1 button of her blouse and turned toward me and we had quite a conversation. Unfortunately it was my last night there and she was heading to a business conference.

And Colombianas here in the States have the same infatuation with the mirror.
