Actor Mel Gibson has announced that his wife of around 30 years has filed for divorce in California. Gibson raised quite a stir a couple of years ago when he was arrested for drunken driving in which he hurled anti-semetic insults at most everyone who would listen. Along with irreconcilable differences, this incident was listed in the divorce request. Gibson was photographed recently on a beach in Costa Rica with a bikini clad European beauty. Gibson is known to own some property here in CR. Well this one is going to be expensive since Gibson's fortune is estimated to be $900 million, and since California is a State in which property is EQUALLY divided, his wife Robyn stands to get $450 million. (A pretty hefty price to Phuck around for anyone.) |

if he screwed his wife 10000 times, which is highly unlikely, it would $45000 per pop. |

I think the jury should seriously consider that and then the settlement would drastically be reduced!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh only if it worked that way. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My mind boggles at the thought of the drastic change in lifestyle this will cause him. Trauma like this might turn him into a jerk... oh wait... |

Is this the Mel Gibson that's a moralistic hyper-Christian, "Apocalypto", funding Old Catholic activities like Latin Masses, all that? That Mel Gibson? Have to see what kind of pre-nup emerges or if he's even subject to California law. Still, mighty delicious, this news. |

You see guys? You let the woman into your place, and if you stop paying attention, even for a second, she immediately runs off with that 450 million you left laying around! At $45000 a pop I hope he got bbbj. ![]() |

Jazz, According to a news report report I saw, there was no prenup. The article went on to say that it was in the early days before prenups were popular. According to the article, she was a Russian musician knockout named Oksana. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,515136,00.html If it costs him half, makes the John Lennon divorce seem cheap by comparison. And we thought cien per session was high........ 3P |

Raw, They were married for 28 years so if they phucked every night 10000 fucks would certainly be possible. They do have 7 Ch*ldren together. However, as most of us know, the frequency of marital sex is usually inversely related to the length of marriage. As newlyweds they MIGHT have phucked like rabbits multiple times per day, but after a very short time that goes down to once a day, once a week, once a month, even not at all. I wouldn't be surprised if the number was less than 500 times (twice per month) over the last 20 years. Jazzbo, According to TMZ -"Sources tell us there is no prenuptial agreement -- they were married in 1980, before Mel Gibson amassed a fortune estimated at $900 million back in 2006. Under the laws of California, community property -- which includes earnings -- is divided 50/50." Naturally, his soon to be gringa ex is going beyond that by asking for Mel to pay her attorney's fee and spousal support. I guess $450M does not leave her enough to live on, she needs monthly payments too. Of course, Mel is going to contest that part, but it seems clear he's going to get reamed on this one. Again, according to TMZ "If there is a fight, Robyn is in good hands -- she's repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has handled divorces for the likes of Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder." "Gibson is repped by prominent divorce lawyer Robert Kaufman, whose celeb clients include Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Reese Witherspoon." BTW, I thought "Apocalypto" was a pretty good movie, even though it was done entirely in a Mayan language. It was not really about Christianity at all, but rather the violence and savagery that existed back in pre-colombian times. Christians did not even appear in the movie until the final scene where you see their ships arrive in the new world and hint that the trials faced by the film's hero, a noble indian named Jaguar Paw, were not over. Now Gibson's earlier film, "The Passions of the Christ", certainly was a moralistic hyper-Christian flick (which interestingly was done entirely in Aramaic, Latin and Hebrew). VegasBob, I'm sure his romp in CR didn't help matters (BTW, he was also hanging around with Britney Spears on that trip), but evidently the problems go way beyond that. Again, according to TMZ, "There have been reports that Mel has been involved with another woman, which the actor denies, but we're told the reasons for the divorce go beyond any third party." People.com quoted an unnamed source saying "the couple split three years ago, around the time of Gibson's infamous anti-Semitic rant after he was pulled over in Malibu, California, for drunken driving" (ie BEFORE his trip to CR). The exact date is significant since the 50/50 split is supposed to be AS OF the time of seperation. That $900M estimate was back in 2006 around the time of their seperation. Maybe, unlike the rest of us, Gibson's assets have grown over the last 2.5 years, but I don't believe he has done any new major movie during that time. In fact, apart from some bit parts, he hasn't been in anything major since M. Night Shyamalan's Signs (which was hardly a blockbuster) way back in 2002. But wait, it gets better. Regardless of whether his net worth has gone up or went down, she is also seeking jewelry and earnings and assets she accrued AFTER the couple separated. He could wind up with much less than half of what he's worth now (better do another Braveheart). Good luck to Mel. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (not). I hope the anti-semitic bastard gets screwed. |

Prolijo, Sir, you amaze me. Do you know these facts about Mel's movie career off the top of your head or did you research it to reply to this topic (and myriad others)? Either way, my hat is off to you. You either have a fantastic memory and insatiable curiosity, or insatiable curiosity and an affinity for doing your homework. In either case I salute you. In the extremely unlikely even that I should ever be elected to anything that requires a staff, the chief of staff job is yours for the asking. |

The only problem with that, Bilko, is that if you asked Pro what time it is he would start with the history of time, as we know it, the significance of Greenwich, England, how time zones and the International Date Line were established, the Atomic Clock, the use of time in determining position on the globe, Military Time, Coordinated Universal Time, tine travel, etc! |

3Pk, Oksana is the woman he has allegedly been seeing. His wife's name is Robyn. And John Lennon never got divorced. Yoko got widowed. I believe you meant Paul McCartney and his bitch ex-wife Linda. Pac, LOL ![]() Bilko, Thanks for the props. If I ever get the job, I'll try harder to put the main points in an executive summary for you. Pidd, To save $450 million, I'd rather pay her to STAY even if it is just in her own mansion while I take off for CR. You should have noticed she sued him first for divorce not the other way around. |
