This thread was prompted by a discussion on the Girls Review forum concerning payment upfront. My comment was:

NEVER PAY UPFRONT!

But there are times when we do pay upfront, like the MPs, etc. You see, there are exceptions to every rule. We are also a very varied group, so my "NEVER" may be your "ALWAYS" and we may both do just fine. We don't all play by the same rules just like we don't all like the same women and we don't all come with the same tool set.

With all that said, what are some of your "NEVERs" for Costa Rica?*

I really can't think of any. I always try to look for the "gray area" with a little flexibility. I think my posts about the "street girls" demonstrates this.

I never run a tab (except SL). Two reasons: When Miss Too Phucking Hot comes prancing in, I don't want to have to wait for the tab and change before I can get on her tail, and, I don't like padded bills and the inevitable argument that ensues.

NEVER go with chicas that are hanging out with guys..... I don't know if it is the same in San Jose these days, but there are quite a group of chicas in Jaco that are always hanging with dudes on the street... Drug dealers and/ or thieves, that I expect might follow or at least know who you are on the street.... NEVER buy anything from the slim shadies on the street.. Ya never know when locals might do bodily harm for supporting this.

All good points. I'm going to approach this from a different angle, though because I'm sure you guys will cover all the usual "don'ts":

Never get upset because you're in CR & it's not like home, ie with people not serving you fast enough, etc. You're on vacation, don't get stressed because the bartender doesn't run back with your change! :lol:
