Post subject:  Tale of Woe

Here is a short tale from the gulch related to me by my novia:

Two new girls appeared at a local watering hole and set up shop. A very nice, wealthy gringo was drinking in the bar and, after a short negocio, he elected to take the two new girls and another girl who has worked there for some time.

Everyone knew the gringo was well-to-do: He flashed a large roll of hundreds every time he paid for anything. He got the three girls back to his room and ordered room service. At some moment, things started to go wrong. He ended up in an argument with the new girls while the established girl was in the bano. When she came out, the man was arguing with the new girls about money and had thrown about a thousand cash on one side of the bed. He tried to argue and eat with his money out on one side of the bed and his wallet out on the other side.

During the confusion, one of the new girls hit the man's wallet for $45,000c. Shortly thereafter, the gent realized the situation was out of control and tossed all three girls out.

When they got back into the bar, the two new girls let the other girl in on the fact that they had lifted a little extra cash (he paid them $100 each even though he never got them nekkid).

The regular didn't like the whole deal. She has worked there for awhile and likes the place and working with her friends. She went to the owner's novia and told her what had happened. The novia ensured that neither of the two new girls would be let back into the establishment.

Bottom line: I met the girls earlier, one the day before. Just my opinion, but I don't think any of them would have taken anything but for the fact that the gringo was drunk and throwing his money around for effect. Now he is a little lighter on cash (I don't know if he was ever advised of the theft) and we are two girls shorter.

Now maybe the two were predisposed to theft, we'll never know. Leaving valuables out, especially when there are several people in the room, is an invitation.

Just a heads-up.

And this "short tale" should be required reading for all who come here!! Sad thing is some will just never learn that throwing money around, being drunk, being loud and bostrous IS JUST ASKING for a problem here or in any poor country. Hell if you make it easy for even many "honest" poor people, they will be tempted to take advantage of the situation.

I used to hear stories in the USA about how some person found a bag of money that had fallen from an armored truck and had returned it. I am going to be honest in saying that I would have kept that bag of money and let that be a lesson to "Wells Fargo" or whoever. I have found and returned wallets with money.

I'm sure we look to the girls like those big banks looked to me.

There is no reason to flash cash. I'm no saint and I'm sure most of these girls are not either.

How is this a tale of woe? The guy got what was coming to him, and the girls made bank without dropping their panties.

This is why I always show the money, then put it back in the safe. I always tell him, "Pago cuando fin, mi amor".

This is rediculous...

you're either honest or you're not...honesty has nothing to do with opportunity...although it may have something to do with getting caught

What I was trying to say, and I think Pac also, was that 'opportunity' can sometimes make dishonest people out of what had up until that moment, been honest people. I was in no way wanting to infer that I condoned steeling, no matter what the circumstances. When you are poor, need and opportunity can sometimes out way moral convictions is all that I was trying to say.

And you are exactly right, BB. Walking around flashing a roll of hundreds or throwing stacks of money on the bed in order to show girls how much you are worth is courting disaster.

I'm not defending the girls at all. What they did in this case was pure theft. My point was that even people who would not normally take anything can be tempted. Why take the chance?

In the old time, in Cuba you would find the most honest people among the poorest, those living in the countryside.
In the other hand, you have Bernie Madoff...

I just do not understand why the male species feels that they have to always flash their colors (money) to attract the females. I would have though we have mature a little further up the evolutional scale that we do not have to return to such behavior. But alcohol does make you do some stupid shit.

Like I have said many times before, take the temptations away and we all be a happier bunch. Lock up your wallet and valuables.

If you bring a chica to your room,or house, for a P4P adventure, and for whatever STUPID reason you leave money out where she can STEAL it,and she tells you to be more careful with your money...... you have what is called a "REGULAR". If you must act like a stupid asshole.....EXPECT THE WORST..... and hope for the best.

One thing I appreciate about the watering hole in question is that the girls who work there want to continue to work there. The work environment is pleasant, and most of their clients are gentlemen. Sadly, even among gentlemen there are fools.

I have had no problems with any girl I've hired from that particular labor pool. None. And I have been an idiot, leaving jewelry in plain sight at the start of a session, etc.

As V.B. said above, if you find a girl who will scold you for being careless as she puts the exposed money back into your hadn... she's a keeper. This is why I will repeat with several of my amigas, all of whom have proven to be honest.

Again, the girls affiliated with that particular watering hole don't want to lose their gig. Many girls expressed reluctance to go with me, not because of my looks or age or whatever, but because they were afraid that I being blind, would later accuse them of stealing something. Fortunately, I've never had to point a finger at any of the working girls there. :D

Being drunk + showing wads of cash + HAVING 3 CHICAS IN THE ROOM = recipe for trouble. :(
