Found this for sale on EBAY. Thought maybe I'd bid on it and convert it into a strip club: http://cgi.ebay.com/Restored-Pirate-Shi ... 286.c0.m14 |

Do it Bondtrader! I'll come down there and spend some bucks... just keep the rates competitive with our favorite spots in SJ |

That is a lot of money for a place you have not gone through with a fine tooth comb. There may not be the clientele there either. Running the Bah-Da-Bing club sound idyllic but people who I have known who have had strip clubs said it is a really tough business. |

Theres more money in a restaurant than there is in a strip club. Trust me I've been there. Both are a big hassle. On one hand you would have to advertize for strippers, then deal with other people around the neighborhood that may not want that type of business in thier town. Then the payoff to the cops and whoever wants a piece of the action. The restaurant side sounds more realistic if the customers are available. Always remember, there has to be a reason why someone would sell if profit is to be made. Just my 2 cents. |

Well put LionKing. Bond Trader, you may want to take a look at some past threads. Here is one about another failed gringo business https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24806 |

I have said this for the last 3-4 years. If I were to own a strip club in CR it would be the former Centerfolds,Casablanca,Testiciones. It has failed under each name and ownership. It is in the "perfect" location,a block and a half from the Del Rey. The Centerfolds owners spent some money to refurbish the place and it looked very nice until it went under "again". I really think that with the right ownership who understand that it's about getting the right chicas (plenty at the DR would love to work there) treating them and the customers right,it would be a moneymaker. The last time it was up for sale, the asking price was too high. |

I went in there years ago and immediately left. It was a Saturday night but the talent was very poor -- exceptionally homely, overweight and untalented. They say "white men" can't dance, in this case, the most uncoordinated Gringo I have ever seen could dance better than those Latinas. |
