Does anyone here have the name and address of an internet business or cafe in San Jose where a friend of mine can check her email since she does not have internet access. Any help would be appreciated. |

There is an internet cafe on every corner it seems like. Many on Avenida Central. Your "friend" can check her email on the DR computers too. ![]() |

Right in front of the NY bar, 2nd floor is an Internet café/Phone. I was at the HDR and needed to make a call to the USA and did not wanted to go back to the hotel for my MagicJack, walk in 100 colones for a 10 minute USA call. Not bad and is even cheaper to use the Internet. |

Is that right? less than 20 cents for 10 minute call to the US? |

I only had 1k colones and he was a little upset at giving me so much change back. |

Yeah....I never used the phone service in the Plaza building, but have seen it. It is on the 2nd floor towards the front of the building....near to the Sushi restaurant. I've heard it is extremely cheap. It would be a good place for chicas to place their RFM calls to the U.S. They could discuss, their ailing grandmother, the broken refrigerator, their dog that needs a heart transplant, etc., etc.....for less than a dollar! ![]() |

The Internet cafes are everywhere. You will find at least one across the street from the cathedral on the lower level next to the hotel. |

I don't know about that....doesn't sound right. As I said, I have never used the service, but have had several gringos tell me how cheap it was. Must be something else going on when you use it for local calls. ![]() |
