I don't trust weather reports from TV, newspapers or websites. They are always inaccurate. I am looking for the actual weather from someone's current experience. I'm fully aware of weather.com and other weather sites.

Weather is typical for the green season. Sunny mornings rain in the afternoon and then again early evening. Some days, like yesterday, rain from 2:00 PM to sometime in the early morning.

Remember Costa Rica is about micro climates and the weather can be radically different just a few kilometers away.

Thanks... Depending on the part of the World you are in, there are acid rains. How is CR? Would I need to avoid getting hit by rain?

How about Jaco weather right about now? Does rainy season hold true on the coast or does the sun shine through in Jaco in late August?

I would worry more about some chica's love jugos flowing over my man-jewels resulting in PIB syndrome a.k.a "Paco's Itchy Balls" or BOTW syndrome a.k.a. "Baby On The Way". Really. There are no acid rain issues in CR. :D

Strange question...but actually acid rain has occured in CR. If you are camping out naked on the downwind side of a volcano during a simultaneous eruption and rainstorm, then you might want to avoid the raindrops (and lava bombs). But if staying in San Jose I'd be more concerned with ladrones putting a gun to your head or policia shaking you down than acid rain.

You just never know. Last week was almost like summer. Now, we have had a hard rain two nights in a row.. Pretty typical. The heavy, several day rains tend to be based a lot on hurricane season. If one of those feeder bands touches us, we can get massive rain for days. Like last October.

I'm hoping there won't be any delays with the airlines or worse, end up crashing

Delays tend to occur during the rainy season and one's arrival is late in the day... e.g. 9pm. I always take a flight that arrives prior to 2 pm and have never been delayed rainy season or not.
