I think TW requested this: Top Ten Discussions: 1. Puta turns into girlfriend …is this sane? Boards conclusion is it is insane and works in 1% of the cases and will prove to be very expensive. 2. Cien what to do? Boards Conclusion up to the individual and their time frame. Don’t let 20 bucks ruin your day. 3. Rio, San Jose, or Medellin, which is the most fun and has the most hotties? Conclusion….Rio is the most exciting with hot girls that are into their job, Medellin has the most reserved hotties and you have to work to have fun in the city but its beautiful and worth it as are the women, and San Jose is more convenient and more time and cost effective yet the locals are getting restless, scams and thefts are 10 times other cities but hey its still way more fun than the US. 4. Are bartenders available? Conclusion, Yes all but 3 or 4 or them but they will cost you mucho. 5. What is the cheapest way to call US? Skype and Magic Jack. 6. What to do for safety in SJO, carry a knife or weapon? Conclusion: Take a cab spend the two bucks and avoid being put in a precarious situation 7. Should I buy real estate in CR? No… rent for sure, if you still insist then live there for 1 year first. 8. I want to buy a business in CR maybe a MP? NO NO NO. 9. Tipping when and how much? Boards conclusion don’t tip unless it was outstanding, 10% or cab fare. 10. Non Pros, Semi Pros, and Pros what to do? Don’t over analyze the difference Have fun and rent.. DO NOT buy. If it flies, floats or fucks RENT IT. |

Actually, While those are probably the top ten Topics, Most of the discussion is petty arguments that have little or nothing to do with the thread topic or Costa Rica . |

Re: #1, it happened to me on my first trip. My small amount of intellect remained alive and I posted about it on the board in order to get frank advise. It was frank, well deserved and well received. I got over it and learned to say "next!" Thus, this discussion, often repeated, did me a lot of good. |

Hunter, Add in the other suggested topics, and your thread is an excellent executive summary of the CRT discussion board over the past two years. After reading this, I no longer see the need to read the forum anymore.

#13: Colombia/Medellin/Brazil/Rio/Sao Paulo/Argentina/Buenos Aires/DR/Sosua/Peru/Lima is awsome - I'm never going back to CR. But that only in the non-CR forum. |
