YO Hombres:

Last week old Circus went to the buffet at Golden Corral restaurant and was wearing his CRticas T-shirt. The cashier glowed with excitement when seeing my shirt and stated that she was from CR. We had a short friendly conversation and I told her that I had traveled to CR for many years. I then had my meal and as I was leaving, she came over and gave me a hug. Shit, hugs are rare at my age unless they feel sorry for you.

Okay, again today I went to the Corral for lunch again. Yep, the same CR chica was the cashier and yea I was in my same T-shirt. When she saw me a look to kill came over her face. I said, "hola," and she blurted out some nasty espanol.....didn't register but I bet it was bad. After I pre-paid for my lunch she growled, "you a dirty man." Glaring at me as I walked to a table.

Best I can figure is that she looked up the site on her PC and got pissed in the process. Her english is very good so I think she has become an americanized gringa.

Funny how one can think of numerous replies to a put down after the fact but speechless when the event occurs.

Old Circus is going there for breakfast manana.....with my same T-shirt...I love it.

Well Circus "It Worked" you got her attention no matter how you look at it. That is a starting point at least, now can you turn it into to something fun or meaningful??? :D Tell her about old Shitass the cat :wink: . That should get things purrring along :) ....

You are far braver than I could ever be. Perhaps, Brother, you can acquire and wear an HDR t-shirt. I am certain that she would have known instantly that we are dirty old men.

I have chatted up a couple of guys in the US after seeing them wearing BM tee shirts. But, I think the potential for getting dissed is pretty high if the 'wrong' people see them. If you live in a small town the negatives are even greater.

YO UPDATE:

That chica was not working today when I went in for lunch. Really a pisser since I changed to a clean shirt just for her. I was wearing my Blue Marlin T-shirt.....Damn, a missed opportunity.

A couple of dudes at the table next to me inquired as to the deep sea fishing in CR. I told them that the tuna season was on and they should seriously consider making a trip. Damn if they didn't begin talking about lures, tackle and tides. I quickly finished my lunch and headed out.

The lads didn't have a clue.....then again maybe old Circus doesn't either.

Wearing your crt t-shirt can be hazardous in the BM also (damn chicas know too much) but not as hazardous as the "No Cien" shirt which really pisses off the Colombianas.

Whew...I could never wear any article of clothing that insinuated that I was a monger. I got into hot water one time when I was meeting with a client and it came up that she was from Costa Rica, and I had to fish for quick answers to not give away the true meaning of my trip.

Another time though, I was speaking with someone else, and we both had the "understanding", and I thought it was funny when he asked me when my next fishing trip to the Lake Del Rey was.
