Produce is very heavy. I haul it from time to time.Chiquita bananas is a big client of ours.We have wrecked two trucks (semis) in 10 years hauling bananas. Usually due to overloading by the shipper. And a driver not brave enough to refuse the load.It could be the tires that caused the accident. Farm vehicles that I see running through Texas, Arizona and Florida are usually in very poor condition and with recapped tires carrying an unacceptable level of tread. But the government never inspects them and prefers to spend hours inspecting a brand new Frieghtliner belonging to a carrier with an otherwise flawless safety record. So this could happen in the US as well. It was a pity the driver could not have been taken off the road earlier.
