Pretty Cool... If you go to http://www.nacion.com/ and you scroll down the page SMS GRATIS box allows you to send Text messages to ICE celllular #'s via the Internet!

Have not been able to determine if they respond what happens but it does work...

Also you must register for La Nacion (free) in order to use the service...

PS: This is not an advertisement for La Nacion just thought I'd give the boys an option that I find useful.

I tried it too but have no idea if it went thru or if it was a way for La Nacion to accumulate some good email addresses.

I've been using:

for over a year, and it's worked great. Only problem is that it doesn't work to TDMA phones... I don't know if the "la nacion" one works to TDMA phones...

Anyone know?

I'm guessing since it's ICE's monopoly, that it doesn't...

Don't know about TDMA neither. The ticas I texted to are all on GSM .

There's a 10 message per day limit though for the " la nacion" one.

If there's a limit to the navegalo one, I haven't found it yet... I've sent probably as many as 15 in a day...

Yeah, but in practice, unless things have changed in like the last 2 weeks, TDMA doesn't receive them... I've sent a lot of messages to TDMA phones and never had one received, whereas about 90% of my GSM ones are received...

SMS in CR seems... well... suspect at times.

HOWEVER, if you find that TDMA works for you, PLEASE let me know, as I would like to send SMS to a TDMA phone, and I gave up on it so long ago...
