Gentlemen: The long awaited rewrite of the CRT websites code to be compatible with firefox is still a long way off. ![]() ![]() ![]() If your using Firefox Or IE Go to this link... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/1419 Download and Install the Plug in Dated May 28, 2007, the newest plug in is only compatible with Firefox 3.0 versions or higher and they are still in Beta so 99.9% of you are using a 2.0 version of some kind.... Once plugin is installed, it will instruct you to restart your browswer.... Now after that is complete you will see a little Mozzila Firefox Globe in the right hand corner... when you are using CRT's non forum pages they are all scrambled etc.... Most of you simply launch IE at this point, but you can switch to IE MODE within Firefox...... simply by clicking on the globe... it will turn Firefox into IE mode and fix the CRT PAGES for browsing... When you are done with CRT or any other site for that matter that is not Firefox compatible, simply click it again and it switches back to traditional Firefox mode... I am truly sorry for the long delay, but other things have come up, but hopefully firefox users can use this simple little fix to get their browsing up to speed. Thank you for patience! Tomas |

W A R N I N G !!!!!! I just noticed something about this that the casual user might not catch... If, like me, you use Firefox because of it's security settings, or other benefits (I particularly use it so that it deletes my history, cookies, passwords, etc as I close the firefox screen, so that no one can find what sites I have visited, let alone get into a site I have visited), using this "work around" puts your cookies, history, passwords, etc into Internet Explorer, so, unfortunately, I will not be using this feature much... Thanks for the option Tomas... |

Thanks for the option Tomas... It's really not a work around per-say. In reality it just opens IE in a tab instead of firing it up in a separate window. So if you are like QBF and want to remove all traces of your surfing, you need to go into IE and clean it up. |

CRT works fine with Firefox 3 on the Mac as far as I can tell. I don't even have IE on this machine. I try to use Gates-ware as little as possible. |

Firefox 3 has the same issues as Firefox 2 on windows. You still have to download https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/1419 if you want to able to switch over to windows to read certain pages. |

Only works for PCs running Windows ID. All that extension does is launch IT within a Firefox tab. Those of use that have Macs have to use Safari if we want to browse something other than the forums. Linux users could run WINE and install IE6 or just download Opera and run that. Not sure about the other open source browsers since I don't use them. There is your nerd tip for the day! ![]() |
