Much has been made here about the difference between the Colombianas and the rest of the chicas here in CR. I think a realistic topic of discussion is where these chicas get the money to get started in the business in CR It's obvious they have higher initial expenses than most others. These include 1. Boob jobs 2. transportation expenses. 3.Housing (usually with other Colombianas) 4.possible matrimonial expenses to a Tico so they can stay here longer than the 30 day Colombian visas allow. So an estimate of their start-up costs probably runs into the $4000-5000 range. So where does all this money come from? The chicas certainly don't have any money,since it is well-known that the chicas who come here to ply their trade,didn't do so in Colombia for fear of their families finding out. It has been explained to me that the answer is "sponsers". Who are these benefactors who put up the money for the chicas with an expectation of making a profit. Once we understand these factors,we can understand why they perform their tasks the way they are known to do. ie. short,expensive sessions to maximize income.

There seems to be an endless supply of takers for disinterested Barbies with boob jobs too. It's amusing to watch these guys. You can sit at the coffee bar and easily spot the newbies. They are usually in groups and stand at the reception desk looking at JV corner the whole time they are being checked in. These guys are always the slowest to learn the game because they spend all of their time with either the Barbies or their inexperienced buddies.
I've always been interested to know the stories behind some of these Colombianas though. Such as how much did it cost to get them over here and in business. Also what kind of deal did they have to make with their "sponsor". Do they have to pay back a fixed amount of money or make payments for a certain amount of time? What guarantee do they have that they will ever be free?

Contrary to the experiences of many on this forum, I have had nothing but good experiences with the Colombianas. Medellinita Margie, Alexa from Manisales...even the Black Bogotana Stalker have all given excellent, unrushed, fun service.

This may be off-topic, but my take is this: Regardless of her start-up debt load, regardless of how "hardened" she is, one can really have fun with these girls by having the following:

a.) Spanish. Spanish. Spanish.

b.) Apparent lack of concern about the money. Make sure she knows you've got it, but that she needs to earn it.

c.) Game. Yes, game. I am convinced both from observation and personal experience that playing the role of the studly, suave gentlemanly lover will turn what could be a 35-minute hour into a 90-minute hour. Just MHO.

d.) Strength. The farther your jaw drops when you see her, the higher her price will climb. You don't have to be a hardass or impolite jerk, but you have to stand your ground with a smile.

As always, your mileage will most certainly vary.

I hate to say it but my understanding is that many of the Colombianas in CR, and elsewhere are the result of human traffic in the sex business.

I have heard that most of the girls actually have to "work off" the debt they owe to a smuggler who got them there. Usually it involves doing a certain number of tricks before they are "free".

There is a whole sad side to the story of the Colombianas that most of us never hear. It is too bad. I spent some time in Colombia and really grew quite fond of the women.

Partyanimal , I have always heard this too, but never with many details. I would think some of the guys here who prefer the Colombianas would have heard some detailed stories. It's doubtful that the girls would be capable of keeping everything hush-hush. They are , after all , young girls and young girls can't keep their mouths shut about anything.

my understanding is it is voluntary to sign up for the girls but is usually 5k they have to pay off to get here. I do not think that includes the tits.

I had an older Columbiana friend who said it took her one year to get it done.

What a great subject to delve into with such intellectual discourse. MENSA has nothing on us. I have always wondered about this also. I have also had good experiences with Colombianas but I am on a strict lookout to sniff out the clock watchers and mercenaries. I had a great one, a short blonde named Claudia who hangs with 2 other blondes. She was so hammered in my room after letting me have my way with her, she tried to charge me again. Nice little scam, At the time, I made a newbie mistake and paid upfront luckily the session was great.

I digress, back to the subject matter, I have a Colombiana Favorita who I can get some answers from. This is a girl who I have a really good friendship with and we even see each other "off the clock." A lot of times she asks me out on dates, and as El C. noted, "my coolness or lack of eagerness seems to attract her more." ANd believe me, I'm eager, I 'm just not showing it. She is smoking in looks and performance. Anyway, I'll go on a "recon" mission and gather some "intel" on "The Plight of The Colombiana." I'll report my findings. Regarding the boobs, I've heard they are only $1,500.00 in Colombia and practically all women with means have them. Also, many can be found in Panama City. I won't have the "intel" until my next trip and I just got back last week and already suffering withdrawals. Just what I needed, another excuse to go back.

The only problem is, and most here will agree, that the Columbians in columbia and the columbians in Costa Rica are completely different.

When I first came to CR, I found myself almost always picking up Colombianas. the only reason I knew was lookng at their cedula when checking into my $45 standard room (with no dress code, the good ole days) at the Presidente. But the last few trips, I have chosen Ticas exclusively (has something to do with wanting besos and BBBJ) My last trip a smokin hot Colombiana (which I was ready to cave in and pay cien) quoted $130 no besos included and although I didn't ask the odds of CBJ were about 99%. She also had that bored attitude which along with the ridulous(sp) price was the deal breaker. So I am thinking of PTY (the same airfare as SJO from DFW) because I really miss these chicas and I believe the service will be better in PTY. But if I could just have 1 night a week in the Blue Marlin I could be very happy living the life I lead. But as for now I'm heading off in my F-150 for a 120 mile RT to blow some dinero in the topless clubs of west Northwest Hwy

i have known some who came because there friend told them about
the del rey, or even a relative, and not all have boob jobs..

so i think the whole sponsor thing doesn't apply to all, but seems like they do all marry a tico for papers

from what i've been told wasn't even a decade ago when
the rates out of the key largo, before there was a del rey was 5000, then
it went to 10,000 colones, and if the same girl walked into the monkey bar
it was half price
