Post subject:  Sending Flowers and Candy?
A little insight for the send flowers and candy set: I spoke at length with one of the Ticos the other day. Seems a gringo is paying him quite handsomely to pick up his cash at Western Union and buy/deliver flowers and candy to one of the girls. This is not the first time that Generous Gringo has sent flowers and candy; the last time Tico made the delivery she politely requested that he save the trip and just deliver GG's cash. Some guys are very slow learners.

If you must send something, please consider a good Chilean red wine. We enjoy it more than the flowers and neither of us needs the candy. 8) :lol:

I really don't like these attitudes. I think we need a separate section for:
1. Guys who like Costa Rica, and
2. Guys who admit paying for sex, and don't brag about how much "game" they have on a forum dedicated to prostitution.

Thank God it is all about the $$$ I just don't need the rest. So much of this sending stuff works against you. Many of them will see you as you don't have much going on at home if you are always trying to buy their affection especially from abroad, weakness more than a strength I feel.

While we're on the subject of flowers.... As "gay" as it might sound, I enjoy putting some flowers around my room. The chicas really seem to like it.

When I was staying at the SL a couple years ago, I had the desk arrange $20.00 worth of flowers for me. The bouquets were so large that one arrangement ended up on the table outside Hermosa, the foot rail of the bed was covered in more flowers than the winner of the Kentucky Derby, and there was a nice arrangement on top of the television cabinet as well.

Last year, I tried to order a bouquet from the desk at the Amistad. $35.00. One large arrangement. :mad: :roll:

So my question is this: Where's the cheapest place to get fresh-cut flowers, with delivery to the hotel? Again, this isn't for the chicas, it's for me.

El Cig, hey I like flowers and plants in the house too.

On the south side of avenue two below the Presidente is a big flower stand. They have arrangements as well as bulk ones. I just had an idea: Why not take a chica with you to help with the visuals? I've never in my life met a girl who wasn't crazy about flowers. Might be fun.

Ten bucks goes a long way there, especially for a hotel room.

I'll fight anybody that thinks flowers are "gay" :D
