For all you mongers who are in town for valentines day and need a date there is a free dance tonight in Parque Morazan. Stop by a find the "girl" of your dreams :lol: :lol:

a highlight for Valentine's Day

Being alone on Valentine's Day can be depressing. Usually, there are many events scheduled to help the lonely and
sad heart
brokenhearted. So for readers without love, there's still plenty to do.

Parque Morazán, in downtown San Jose, is the setting for a Gran Baile de los Enamorados. This grand dance, however, is billed as an event commemorating love and friendship. The Orquesta de Lubín Barahona and los Caballeros del Ritmo will provide two hours of
dancing music. The dance begins at 7 p.m. and in the friendly spirit, entry is free. The sponsor is the Municipalidad de San José."

I was thinking the same thing when I read the article this morning in A.M. Costa Rica. I bet there will be plenty of lonely,horny non pros to go along with the pros pretending to be non-pros,dancing the hours away. It's an opportunity to meet new chicas at no cost.

No offense, but I somehow cannot imagine V.B. or I.D. "tripping the light fantastic" in Parquqe Morazan. :P Anymore than I could imagine myself.

But yeah, festivities like this dance are wonderful opportunities to meet local girls. And hey, if you can't fill your dance card, you can just walk a half block to the Key Largo and/or del Rey! :idea: :D

In the last 6 months, i've been downtown a number of times in the evening, and not once have I see the infamous trannies hanging around Parque Morazon.

I wonder what happened to them?

There wee a couple there last weekend. For the most part they are all a few blocks away now. I know because it always seems the taxi drivers love to point them out.

Parque Morazan has concerts from time to time from its band shell. Since last night's concert was specifically for single people alone on Valentines Day, I thought it would be an opportunity for further exploring of the non-pro scene. I was having a beer closeby (HDR.....have any of you heard of it?) so I wandered over to check out the easy pickings. Well, couples over the age of 60 wasn't what I had in mind,so I returned to my table at the DR.
