| Post subject: | Dates for 2008 Semana Santa? |
I did a CRT search and a google search but could not easily identify the dates for Semana Santa this year. I was looking at a CR trip March 11-15 and believe that Santa Semana is the next week, but was hoping to get the definitive dates. Apologies to all if this has already been asked and answered. Would hate to make it down to find all my favorita sinners in church. Thanks again, Lance |

Semana Santa is an Easter celebration
Starts on Palm Sunday (1 week before Easter Sunday), and the days off are wed,thur, and Good Friday

Semana Santa starts on Sunday March 16 and goes through Sunday March 23. No liquor sales from midnight Wednesday to Midnight Friday. Some bars will be open on Sat. & Sunday and others will remain closed until Monday. |

not 'officially', but you'll still find plenty of places that will serve you imperial/pilsen in a plastic cup, and last year, i had no problem buying 'local' alcohol ... guaro, tico vodka, etc |
