Anyone care to estimate how long the average Chica remains a hooker?

Based on some of the chicas I have talked to, I think 3 years at least in many, if not most, cases would be expected. One chica in particular work for about 3 years, got married and moved to the USA for a few years then got divorced and moved back to CR and has been working out of the DR for the last two years or so.

I took off from my mongering ways for well over a year. I was happy with this break & hoped it would give plenty of time for a large number to turn over. I was wrong I still saw that same old 80 plus percent of the same ones. I saw so many In Jaco that had been at this for a good 5 to 7 years & with a Gringo in tow to boot . I tell you anybody that tries to date these creatures has completely lost their mind..... God Help them they will need it.

You obviously have several classes of hookers from what I have seen. Some do it very little only in emergencies but the majority appears to work 3 to 5 days per week for years.

It takes a fairly strong Latina to do this to buy books or pay for college & not get pulled into it full time knowing they will be going to a lesser paying job after they get their degree.

Thinking back to well past a decade before where Gringos where not a common sight I think the turn over was higher. I do not remember seeing so many at it as long except Lucy....

Where are all the putas from 20, 30 years ago? Do they still hook? Probably do. For the same guys they went with 20 or 30 years ago...and for less dinero. Where are they now? Not at the hotel. They have a steady list of clients and go house to house in their neighborhoods and take care of business. "En servicio" I think they call it.

The money is WAY WAY too good...unless a girl gets lucky and finds a gringo to fall in love with who is willing to foot their bills, it's going to be a lifelong vocation.

Honestly, I was thinking that 3 or more years was not average.

If the average is in it for 3 years and more, considering all the new faces coming abroad, it seems the HDR would have a line going down and around the corner to get it.

I was also thinking that the lifestyle would be too hardcore for the average chica and so she would sample the life, but exit it in less than a year for too many reasons to list. The cash is okay, but the work is not easy. I thought many would enter the life thinking of getting rich only to find that its riches aren't worth the difficult work. It seems there is a lot of BS that Chicas get from each other and from mongers so the environment isn't all roses.

How many faces do we see for only a little while then suddenly, she is gone, never to be seen again?

How many of the SL regulars from 2 years ago are still there? I ask, because I don't know (I've not been there in ages).

When thinking about this question, I was thinking about every single girl that has sold pu*sy even just once to those that have sold it thousands of times.

I think the ticas are likely to do it longer than the Dominicanas, Colombianas, or Nicas. The ticas are never far from home, so they can do it sporatically for many years. For the others, they are away from family and country. It is much tougher for them, and they will get out quicker.

I think for most that it is a situation where once they cross that line they are always willing to cross that line, it really comes down to circumstances and opportunity. I don't think they every really quit.

They might not do tricks for a period of time if their financial situation is stable. But if they are in a position of need the will do what they have to do, if they are able to find someone willing to give them the money.

You really can't go by what we see at the DR. Just because we don't see them there any more that does not mean that they are not still doing tricks, it just means that they have moved on. Many can not compete in that environment and would rather find situations that are steady that they can depend on rather than the hit and miss of getting $60 to $80 every 2 or 3 days.

Others just get sick of being around the arrogant and ignorant Americans and all the demeaning crap that goes with catering to that market (many of the puta look at us that way, trust me on that).

For many of these women that move on from the DR, they would rather be a big fish in a small pond than compete for the top dollar in the DR.

It did not allow me to vote but i believe there individual circumstances dictate how long they will be a working girl. I agree that ticas could drift in and out of the buiseness at will.What we have to remember is that they all do it for different reasons and i for one am happy they do.

I married a Colombiana and did not C*m here for 3 years. In the past year and a half that I have been living here, I have run into many that I knew before.

Also, as KC said, many do move on to other venues. Thou it means more plucking; the income, security, lack of drama, and many times lack of compitition in a MP, is very appealing. And there are over 50 other places for them to ply their trade just in San Jose. I know that many guys think that the REY is the only place to go, but a lot of still good looking ex REY chicas can be found in the other places and for much less money.

Also many do leave from to time and then come back. Many from other countries have Ch*ldren living in their home country. These chicas are usually much better at managing their money and as soon as they have a "nest egg", they return home, atleast till they run out of money again.

And YES, I would agree that very few ever completly leave the profession. I met one 50 yo, very fat, and ugly chica (a friend of a friend) who said for sure she had been a hooker for many years and given the chance, she would still gladly do the deed for $$$. And I guote "Pero quien querria este cuerpo?" who would want this body? And I had to agree with her, thou I said nothing.

Therefore; as many have said, "ONCE A PUTA ALWAYS A PUTA" and in my opinion ALWAYS WILLING TO SELL "IT"

There is really no way to even come close to figuring out how long a chica will work because there are too many different situations. Some pay the rent , get a new boyfriend and never come back again. I even met a Colombiana a few years ago that was only in town for two weeks visiting her sister who is a nurse. She came to Del Rey for 3 nights to make some money to take back to Cali. Never saw her again. Part-timers should not be considered at all when trying to guess the longevity of a gulch chica. Just look at the the girls who do this multiple times per week because it is their only source of income. I think these chicas have adapted to the environment and are even more comfortable with what they are doing than the others. These are the ones that make a carreer out of it and you will see them for years to come. However, I disagree with the theory that once a puta , always a puta. There are thousands of girls who have done the deed at one time or another and for many of them it was a last resort. They are often ashamed of the time they spent there and would be crushed if their loved ones ever found out. All these chicas ever needed was to finish their schooling to qualify for a decent job in order to never go back. CR is slam full of hot chicas that found a better way of life. I know many of us did things in our youth because it was easy and/or good money, yet we would never do those things again.
