55 were detained. Only 7 out of the 55 were actually arrested, the others released. |

At least they were considerate and conducted the raid on a Wednesday night rather than a busier weekend night. noq |

...and another report today: Immigration detains women By the A.M. Costa Rica staff Immigration police raided a home in Jacó early Thursday and took seven women into custody. Police said they were working in the sex trade. Officers of the PolicÃa de Migración also interviewed some 55 other women in the area and gave appointment dates to nine who are believed to be working illegally in the country. Police said that many of the women were married to Costa Ricans in order to be here legally but that there was no sign that the unions were legitimate. The detained women include Dominicans, Colombians and a Nicaraguan. |

Rather than immigration issues,I think the Police should concentrate on pricing issues. (start putting the Colombianas in jail for their effect on costs)I don't know much about Jaco, but the DR chicas are getting even more "cien" conscious these days. Some nights it's pretty near impossible for cheap pricks like me to get laid by a beautiful chica. Something should be done about it. Maybe CAFTA will help. I don't expect "free trade" but reasonable would be a relief with the sex workers. I chatted with a seemingly nice Colombiana last night. After she gave me the typical pricing structure (cien por una hora) I asked her why she and her cohorts could be had for MUCH less in Medellin. She responded that they had "costs" involved here. My thought was that if that's the case, then stay the phuck home and leave the Ticas,Dominicans and others for us to enjoy at reasonable prices. |

http://aldia.co.cr/ad_ee/2007/octubre/2 ... 89140.html I vote for Barrio San Pedro but I bet Prostoner goes for Sinai! Going from the bottom... #2 (Haylin Borbón) and #3 (Marilyn Calvo) from the bottom look like DR chicas... Hell, one of them (#3) looks like someone with pictures in our gallery, but I can't find them... |

As the possie sniffer whackos go about changing Jaco, I wonder if they have given any thought to importing white sand for the beach. |

Deporting the Colombianas sounds like a great idea. Would help prices and improve service. Something along this line may happen anyway. Most Central American countries seem to believe that the best way to control drugs is limiting or banning Colombians from thier countries. They are already banned from several countries, a few Colombians I met in Jaco told me. |
