Gents, I don't know if many you realize how dire the situation is in Costa Rica now. This year has been one of the worst rainy seasons Costa Rica ever had. The mud slides and flooding have affected thousands. I have lived here for many years and have never seen anything like it. Guanacaste is like a big lake. It really is awful. Banco de Costa Rica has opened an account for donations to help the affected out. They are matching the donations dollar for dollar, or colone for colone. Most of you have said at one time or another how much you love this country. Why not step up now prove it. Just go to any branch of BCR and tell the cajera you would like to deposit whatever amount in account number 001-606-8. Any amount will do. I am not on a soapbox, I just think it would bea good thing to do that,s it tuanis |

Do you know if the BCR will have posters setup, or what the name of the fund is? I will be in San Jose on 1 November, and would be happy to make a contribution. Thanks, ShyOne |
