This past week I have found two new quite attractive chicas at the DR which warrent addition to my rotation. One was brought home for $50 and the other for $60 and each stayed for over 2 hours. THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS. The bad news is that last night I hung around the DR till after 11 (yes Florida I didn't go home to sleep) and got not 1 but 5 outright refusals from chicas demanding $100/una hora. These were NOT your usual hardcore Colombianas (well one from Cali) but fairly fresh looking ones. Actually a funny thing transpired with the chica from Cali. She was a beautiful morena. When I asked her where she was from and she said Cali I started to leave. She asked what the problem was and I told her that I didn't have good luck with $100/hr Colombianas. She then says "well that's me I guess". I asked her how much she could get in Cali if she worked there. I said $30 and she didn't disagree. However she did say "That's why I'm here". Ciao chica and buena suerta.

Well very interesting VB . I like your comment it doesn't take them long after they start to go through them "CHANGES" !! The good ones you found for the additions to your rotation have to be pretty new at this is my guess & these are the ones worth doing IMHO. They really treat a guy right I feel in a natural way. Most these I find like this are not fake about much.

These are the best to arrange a private deal with & maybe keep them around a while. If you find them like this & they hate working openly that helps this situation. Once they are not bothered by HDR & work a lot game is over IMHO cause its all down hill after that. At least 99% of the time.

You can't blame a Chica thats traveled very far for her to stick to her guns on what she thinks she is worth. I would have less respect for her if she didn't in many ways but that doesn't mean I would pay her what she thinks she is worth. This is somewhat of the part I like next seeing what she thinks I am worth to be with her. I know they don't give everybody much of a break but if they soften some on the price without effecting the deal that is all I need. We all know they rather be with someone that can talk to them, make them laugh & is clean than a dirty drunk slob. They will always follow the money trail but sometimes they do take a break from that .

You guys talk as if you're surprised that they hit the Del Rey already knowing the "game".

Did you think they just got on a plane in Colombia and arrived in San Jose without having talked with someone first? If you spend any time talking with a Colombiana you'll find that for the most part they aren't stupid. They know the value of a dollar or peso or colone and they also know gringos are rich, lonely and will pay for poosy.

Sounds like a solid business plan to me.

I am sure that VB appreciates being schooled, seeing as he is just learning his way around.

It is a market just like any other market. It is governed by the laws of supply and demand. Everyday is different at the DR.

I have found that around the first of the month is a good time for bargain hunters as the simi-pros come out of the woodwork trying to make their rent.

And that in a nutshell is why I'm going THERE.

But you guys can keep trying to get lucky in "Ground Zero" if you wish. Buena suerte.

Well yes, actually, but really it's the combo of fresh, "normal" looking girls and consistent reports of great service at a great value. CR was fun for a while, but for me, neither selection, attitudes, service levels, or price are where I need them to be anymore to make it worthwhile to go there.

Ciao - tried desperately to change the upcoming trip to Medellin, but couldn't quite pull off using my Taca miles to pay for a ticket - and saving my dinero for Rio in November is top priority right now.

So Costa Rica it is one last time (couldn't quite see blowing off the $238 ticket either) - but this time I'm going to spend most of the trip in Jaco. I've always vastly preferred the atmosphere in the Beatle Bar to the Del Rey. Best of all, I know it won't be the all-out sausagefest now that it was over Labor Day.

O.K..........Pardon my ignorance but I really don't know the answer to this....What is so GREAT about Columbianas. I don't think I've ever been with one...or if I have I didn't know about it...so I'm curious as to what's so great about them. Are they generally better looking...do they F*ck better...both maybe...I'd like to know.

It is not too had to pick them out. In general they are pretty hot and usually more well put together than the Ticas, Nica and the chicas from Panama. They stand out because they have the clothes, the makeup and the hair. More often than not an set of bolt ons to go with the whole package.

They aren't necessarily better, but they look better in general. You have to give them credit for taking a more professional approach to their career.

Good question Bond Trader. I usually do not indulge in Colombianas but my last trip I did land a Tatiana for 3.5 hrs @cien worst experience of the trip.

I will say as a general observation they market themselves better than most at DR. Take great pride in their apparrel and application of makeup.

Interested to hear what the noted Colombiana Lovers on the board have to say on this matter.

Everyone has different tastes in women but for me the chicas from Colombia float my boat.I like the fact that they are proud and feisty.I have talked to many of them and found many of them to have a great sense of humor as well.One last thing that i like about them is they remind me of the chicas from Sinoloa Mexico(my favorite chicas on earth)Again everyone is looking for different things in a chica and the chicas from Colombia are not for everyone!

My observation is that compared to most Central American Latinas, Colombianas have more of a European appearance, and less of an indigenous look. In general, they are less dark than Ticas, who, IMO, appear more European than most of the other Latin American girls. Colombianas have retained more of the Spanish blood(and whatever other Caucasian blood settled there) and have a distinctive look. Many of them seem to have very similar faces, but of course that could be because they all went to the same plastic surgeons for their nose jobs.
