Back home less than three days from Trip #2 before I booked another trip for September. $263 total from Detroit with only about 8 hours of travel time each way - one connection. phucking insanely cheap. I swear the airlines are conspiring to fuel my addiction. I have become a madman. -I don't see the color blond anymore -My nephew told me about all the hotties at the college bar on ladies light last night. I asked him "how much were they?" - I asked my wife to start charging me for sex. This way I can better financially justify trips to CR - It is going to get cold here soon - If I hit Zona Blue as soon as they open at 10:00am, it is noon at home so I think it is fair to have a beer. - Not to let down ol'circus, I think I'll go have a shot of Absolute right now and then check out October airfare deals. Let's see. Airfare - $263. Airport parking/gas $50, Interbus $12, impuesto de salida $26, three nights hotel (Morazon?) $150. Total basic expenses from way up here in the already cold north - $501. It doesn't cost any more to eat in CR than in the USA so add your chica $ on top of that $500 and you can see how far the $ go I have friends who spend $500/month on bowling, going to bars, strip clubs, two jet skis, w**d, etc. CR mongering can be among the less expensive hobbies. |

Paco, I think your trip is expensive mostly due to the time and cost of the oxcart necessary to get out of Mississipi to a state with an airport. BKTUNA I am never going home |

Just a quick note, ZB opens at 9am all days but sundays... So it's 12pm in Halifax, who cares, drink beer - It's a great morning breakfast drink... As for the addiction, I just spent 1200 on a 7 hour trip, and I'm going again a week later. If that's not an addiction, I don't know what is. |

Crookedcr, It's all right to be addicted to this intriguing hobby IMHO as long as one doesn't lose their mind or all their money over it |

YO Paco: One reason you are paying so much is probably that they have you on the "registered pervert" list. I wonder how much Heat pays....I have to think he is definitely on the list. I'm proud to say that my name is first on the list......in a perverted sort of way. |

Airfare from California AA w/ one stop DFW = 539.00 I asked the airlines why the fares vary so much & they couldn't give me a definative answer. WOW if it was 200 or 300 I wound be weekending in San Jose. Stratone |

Stratone I'm sure USair and AA are competing with the new Spirit flights from Detroit to FLL then on to SJO. I can get the fare from Detroit for $260+/- on either airline but if I check the fare from the connecting city - say Houston - the fare is more than double. So I can fly twice as far, still connect throught Houston, and pay 1/2 the r/t fare from Houston. Insane but it works. The airlines don't like to tell you about these games they play to snag customers. |

You could buy/rent a stabbin cabin in SJO and go every wknd. I got $229 on Spirit and $205 on AA. Both RT taxes included. Just had to book a couple months in advance. Only downside is I had to change last wknd's reservation in case Dean impacted my area or the flights. I have seen AA as low as $188 RT from MIA. There's one poster on here from MIA that went over 20 times last year. I love it! Wish I had the budget. Trying hard to set something up like this long term. |
