It doesn't seem to me that SJ is a particularly dangerous place to be a cop, compared to many other places. I'm sure we could all name cities that are much tougher on leo. But for a cop there's always an element of danger, regardless of where you are. I have great respect for honest cops...it's not a job I'd want in any place.
