Fellows I hate to stir things up but we are all responsible for the “inflation” in CR.

Every time we tell someone about how great it is here or when we give advice and tips on how to make their trip more safe and enjoyable.

We are encouraging more newbees to come to partake in our favorite pastime.

Lets say one newbee visits here then returns home and tells 5 friends each of which come here.

They each return home and tell 5 friends each of which come here.

It just grows exponentially.

Get the picture.

Basic Economics 101 Supply and Demand says that the more demand for some thing or some service the more providers of that service can charge.

I first came to SJO in 1995 and stayed at the HDR.

As many of you fellow “Old Timers” remember it sure was different back then.

$30-$40 TLN was no problem.

There were one tenth as many gringos back then but also one tenth as many chicas.

I’m not saying that things were better back then just a lot cheaper.

I’m also not saying don’t tell anyone about CR or don’t give someone advice because frankly it’s too late.
