There is a good map of downtown San Jose that can be accessed as VIP from home page. Most major book stores in US have country maps of CR and in San Jose a good place for maps is 7th Street book store about half block north of Presidente.By the way welcome to the site.rbc100 |

Lehman's has a giant map department upstairs. There are road maps and even detailed topographical maps of every place in Costa Rica. Lehman's is on Av. Central walkway, West of the Plaza de la Cultura. |

One tip fpr those who rent a car to travel about the country. A good road map is highly recommended as roads are often not marked very clearly.rbc100 |

unfortunately all the street maps are pretty much copies of each other (San Jose) the problem is they are dated back to the time when Escazu was coffe farms, and therefore pretty much stop at Sabana park. I'm a little suprised that street wise has not made a CR map, especially with the amount of tourism in CR. They make a Cuba map. Anyway, if it is just downtown SJ, or a country map, you're in biz, but if you are looking for the suburbs, I think you are out of luck |

quick blue fox--can you tell me if Escazu is DETAILED anywhere on the map? I have a bunch of maps, and I'd like a more up to date map, but I have a feeling Tucan's map is pretty much the same as a few of the one's I own. Please take a look for me. thanks |
