What I heard is that the Chinese consider 8 to be the lucky number. Therefore they are opening the Summer Olympics in Bejing at 8 on August 8, 2008. Pass the mu shu pork, please.

YO Carbon Chokers:

What amuses me about these "Live Earth" concerts to save the planet is the hypocrisy. Hundreds of private jets and commercial jets to burn millions of gallons of fuel, Thousands of trucks vehicles to carry equiptment, foods, drinks and condoms......burning fuel. Hundreds of buses and cars carrying patrons to view the concerts...burning millions of gallons in fuel and oil. Forget the recycling claims of the sponsors....there is going to be tons of garbage that will have to be dispersed of. Smoke from cigs, cigars, water pipes, crack and joints filtering into the air NTM the smoke from the special effects on stage....and not to forget the pollution out of exhausts from all land and air vehicles.

Sort of reminds me of the 350 lb man and wife who gulp down a buffet that would feed six people and then order a diet coke to keep the weight down. It makes them feel good about themselves.

Well, old Circus loves clean air and water as much as anyone else. But, I'm not going to be watching the event. I'll be sitting in my lounge chair watching the seagulls ravishing the city dump next door while I'm sipping on my mini vodka.......with diet coke as a chaser and puffing on my 48 ring size cigar. That is of course after I eat my sardine and tomato sandwich with pork rine skins on the side. Okay, okay, I'll burn my paper plate and cup. Then after a bowl movement I'll use some old news paper in order to help the environment. I just want to do my share.

What amazes me is how these people can sound like they actually believe the line of crap they spout.

Is there Global Warming? Possibly.
Is it man made? Unlikely.

Look at history. The earth does go through cycles.
Read Jack London about San Francisco weather 100 years ago.
Very different than now.

IMO the earth does it's thing pretty much uncaring of our actions.

Hmmmm. Dope? Let's see: The actual word dope is derived from a Dutch word (doop) which relates to sauce. There is a dope I used to coat the skin of model airplanes when I was a K*D. Dope is a term used for marijuana and other drugs. There was a rock / heavy metal band out of NY call Dope, Dope is used to describe a not so bright, idiotic and gulllible person. How about " rope-a-dope" coined by M. Ali. Then there is a well known news column termed the "Straight Dope." And, of course that well know saying "the Inside Dope."

Damn, hombre. Just what type of dope slap do you mean? Hell, go for it. How about dueling pistols at 10 paces. That way we can rid the world of maybe two dopes.

P4P women get men so over heated that it must have an adverse effect on the temperature on the earth. Also, no more CBJ's, the increase in friction causes a rise in the global temperature. :roll:

Mr. Gore pays for trees to off-set his private jet travel. For my off-set after each fart, I eat less beans and vegetables. :oops:

In my life time of almost 60 years, they have also spoken about global freezing. :shock:
