Was thinking about how much to bring and about what I thought I'd spend per day while in CR this time. I was trying to think about all possible things, pu*sy, strip clubs, eats, taxistas,ATV tour, Gambling, whatever I could think to do and how much of it I might do. I came up with about $250-$300 per day for myself, NOT including airfare, hotel, exit tax, parking at airport in Denver.
I'd be interested to hear what you all think about this, how you decide and what you decide.

Regards,
-Wmax2

I usually spent about 300$ per day. Alot of depends how much you plan on drinking, whether you plan on buying a couple drinks for your lady friend. At about 3$+ for a mixed drink, it'll make or break your budget in alot of cases

For me it is less than $150 including room but not aifare. I usually see 3 to 4 girls a day and have a hell of a good time. You don't have to spend a lot to have a good time but can spend a lot if you choose.rbc100

RBC is not a cheapskate at all, but he gets a LOT of bang for his buck. If I could keep up with him, I'd be a happy man. Well, happier, I really can't complain ;)

Damn!!! This poll is a real eye-opener for me. In my world, I didn't even know it was possible to spend more than $350 per day. Heck, even spending more than $200 per day would probably mean staying in a luxury suite somewhere, losing heavily at the gaming tables or being a very bad negotiator with the ladies. But it REALLY says something when even RBC has me beat. In fairness, I don't go for 3-4 chicas per day either (though my 1 time personal record is 10). Last time I was in CR, I averaged less than $50/day on daily expenses not including any chicas. Add a couple of tico MP sessions at $20 a pop during the day and a take out bar chica for $40-60 in the evening and RBC's estimate seems pretty reasonable.

Frankly, Max, I think this question is really fairly meaningless as for being any sort of guide of how much YOU will need. Only you know what your standards should be. Are you planning to stay in the ZB luxury suite at $200/day or someplace like the Linda Vista apartments at $20/day? You should already know exactly what that portion of YOURr expenses will be before you even go.

How many sessions are you planning to go for and where? You can have multiple sessions at $20 a pop and/or you can blow cien or more for a TLN. If that is all you're coming down for, a lot of your budget can go just for that, but again that is highly variable and dependent on the individual mongers interests and style.

OTOH, if you want to do other things besides making the rounds of the MP's all day long and the bars all night, you'll be spending proportionately more on tour activities and less on the chicas (you can't very well hit the MP's while you're on a raft out in the jungle somewhere). Most organized day tours run between $50-100, but there are some things that you can do for just the cost of the bus fare.

Food, drink and misc. are also highly variable depending on how you approach it but even at the upper end is not where most of your money will probably be going unless you're planning to wine and dine the prostitutes you pick up or are a profligate gambler and alcoholic.

So here is how I add it all up
Hotel $20-$200/day
Tours $50-$100/day
Chicas $100-$200(+?)/day (that is for at least 3 hours of sex if you factor in being out of town on a tour all day than maybe only 1-2 hours of sex in the evening would do)
Food $15-25(+?) (full meals at the local soda type places, that I prefer anyway, can be had for $5 or less whereas only the fanciest restaurants cost more than $15/pp)
Drinks $10-$20 (at $2/beer or less one would either have to be a very heavy beer drinker or a drinker of expensive imported liquor to hit that upper end)
Gambling $0-$??? (entirely elective and only you can say how much you'd allow yourself to lose)
-----------
$145-$445(+?)

I wouldn't be surprised if I get a lot of disagreement on this. YMMV, but this is the way I see it and how it works for me.

I am in the ballpark with the rest of the crew.

With 12 trips in the books, mostly staying at SL or the Amon my usual expenditures with hotel, excluding airfare has been approximately $1400-$2000 on an average 7 day trip, The difference is dependent on how much drinking and traveling in country I do....

Based on my math roughly $200-300 per day

YO Budget Breakers:

Old Circus some might say is frugal.....okay, cheap.
My budget for the next upcoming trip is as follows:

Hotel: $2.00 per day at CCI (I get the CRT discount)
Food: $8.75 per day unless it's the rain season.
Booze: $12.25 per day, I refill my own mini vodkas
Taxi: $4.50 per day, I mostly walk
Sight seeing: Nada, I've already seen it.
Laundry: $ .45 per day, I wash my own pair of shorts, T-shirt
Chica fees: Yea, right.
Propinas: Yea, right again
Condoms: If I were to get lucky I'd wash and dry it for reuse.
Internet Cafe: $1.75.....Okay, I'm into cheap sex.
Gambling: Shit, going to sleep is a gamble.
Buying other CRT'er drinks: Yeah, right.
Gifts: You can't be serious.
Begger donations: Yea, right
Trip to the Zoo: $6.50.....for personal reasons.

Airfare, departure tax and airport taxi not included.

Wow, looking at the average day for me was rough. I didn 't realize I spent that much.

Free/Skip -Breakfast
$20-50 -Early entertainment 10-noon (MPs)
Free -$10 -Lunch
$20-70 -Afternoon entertainment 1-3pm (MPs or DR)
$20 Dinner
$50-100 -Early evening entertainment 4PM-8PM (DR or KL)
$50-100 -Late evening entertainment 10-1AM (DR or KL)

Damn I get around.

I usually have a day or two where I don't do anything. But other than that this is my schedual. For a 7 day trip I bring about $1800-2200.

When I answered the poll, I selected option 2, then read that Wmax2 isn't including hotel...so I actually spend less than $200.00/day, if that.

I do either an MP session, an independent (del Rey, NYB, Key Largo, SL) once per day, but seldom both. Once in a great while, I'll indulge and do 2 girls at a time.

I've spent less than $100.00 total on strip clubs each trip. I eat modestly, having at least one stellar meal per trip. I use taxis often.

I'll be a bit fiscally restricted this coming Labor Day trip, but I still have a freebie waiting for me at ZB (won at last year's Anniversary Party), so that will help stretch the budget, as will the fact that fater the party, I'll be moving to the Amistad ($52.00/night). Since I seldom gamble (and then only on slots a little), I don't even consider gambling part of my budget.

I think that, aside from hotel/airfare, one could have a terrific time in C.R. for around $200.00/day, bepending upon one's appetites.

I just spent a month in CR...

During the two weeks in SJ, I averaged about $150 per day (including food, bar, hotel, transportation, women and incidentals).

During the two weeks in San Isidro, I spent about $30 per day (including apartment rent, food, clubs and a couple of dates). The scarcity of P4P in Perez Zeledon was a big help in keeping my expenses under control.

Guess I'm always on the high end...

Hotel $125 (1/2 of the 250 for a ZB room)
Breakfast - 0
lunch - 5
dinner (including late night snacks) - 5 - 12

drinks throughout the day:
red bull - $20
alcohol - $5-10

chicas:

somewhere between 200 and 500 / day, depending on TLN's, and importing non-ZB talent...

I currently am only seeing 3 non-ZB girls, so most of that $ is spent in ZB.

This estimate varies, as I do not really keep track of spending while on vacation. But heres my estimate.
Hotel 60.00 - 120.00
Chicas 200.00
Food 75.00
Booze 100.00
Tours & excoursions 80.00
So around 515.00 to 575.00
This can vary greatly, usually on the lighter side.
