Finally planning my first trip to Costa Rica for my bachelor party, and while staying in SJ would be nice, this trip is supposed to be for "fishing" and staying on the beach, so we need to hit the coast. I had heard good things about Samara from non-hobbiests, but could only find limited information on here about it. Any details about Samara, or suggestions of other towns on the coasts that have better chica action?

It really depends what type of Bachelor Party you are looking for.

Samara is very nice, peaceful kind of place. It is not the first place I would consider for a bachelor party.

I have spent some time at Playa Samara and enjoyed it. It is very quiet and laid back. A good place to "take" a woman you want to spend quality time with. Not the best if you want to " hook up".

I always took my novia when I went there. Might be some strays at night at the Gondola bar or Los Olas bar which is on the beach. May even find some chicas during the day on the beach. Best bet is to bring enough for everyone.
