Well, not exactly shock, but while showing some pictures of a recent vacation in England to some amigas, two chicas in their late 20s had never even heard of the 'Beatles.' I should have asked if they heard of Elvis. Yeah, yeah yeah.

OTOH - on the way out to the airport Wednesday in Gustavo's van, he was playing a radio station - 102.3 I think - that features a whole hour of only Beatles several times a week. So SOMEONE is listening to them down there.

Also, once saw a little walkway out in Puerto Viejo called "Abbey Road", with little caricatures of the Beatles pictured on the sign. And let us not forget of course the "Beatle Bar" in Jaco...

Hey Bilko - how about one of these days let's hook up for a Beatles jam session down there?

GR,

Sure, I can probably play most of their songs, perhaps I would need to practice before Revolution #9. Msg me when you're in town next.

As long as there were paying gringos around, they could have called the place the 'Sam the Sham' bar and I don't think the chicas would know the difference. 8)
