Rock and Roll Pollo in Santa Ana is celebrating it's fourth anniversary this weekend. Saturday is a chicken and rib buffet for 3,700 colones. Sunday is a chili cookoff competition (20,000 colone entry fee). There will be an outdoor bbq, raffle, live music, and PILSEN GIRLS. Chili competition and bbq start at noon--music at 2 pm, and raffle and awards at 5 pm. I know a few from the MD bbq know of the Rock and Roll Pollo, but if you don't, it is a great little place in Santa Ana with excellent gringo food, multiple tv's for sports, and a good regular crowd. Any place with with the slogan "Only a rooster gets a better piece of chicken" can't be bad. It's located just out of Santa Ana on the old road to Escazu.
