Yesterday I had a different taxi driver pick me up (a service that I use with 70 different drivers) to take me into SJ. We introduce ourselves as I sat in the front as usual. All of a sudden he says to me "I love you". WTF is going on? Then he says "I am Christian". Whew,what a relief. I then see his bible on the dashboard. I thought I was going to have to escape out of a moving taxi. |

Last year, I had 11 trips during the 12 months (Had to spend St. Patricks Day at home). I got into a cab outside of the gulch and all of the sudden the driver says to me (In English) "Hey my friend, how are you?" Apparently he remembered me from the month before. What are the chances. Anyway, It was good conversation back to the HDR and he was having a big BBQ for the family later in the day, so I gave him a decent propina. To this day, I think he said he loved me-see you next time as I got out of the cab. too funny PS. You didn't pay him with a cien by the way?

Vegas Bob, I LOVE YOU TOO! But religion and/or GOD has nothing to do with it. I don't own a bible have never read the bible but have heard the following many times.... Lets be real  ! If a guy you have never met before says this you have got to think he has some sort of mental disorder  . Overly religious people make me feel nervous like they are wearing it on their sleeve to deal with a crazy past crazier than mine anyway. Like drug addicts that have found Jesus now, I still have trouble buying into it even if it is a step in a better direction.
It really is as simple as TP stated but man's general over jealous ignorant religious so easily brainwashed nature will never allow peace on our Earth in our life time if ever is my bet (God that sounds sooo negative  ). The proof is in our pudding (spunk) just look at our history  .
VB blow him a kiss next time at least after you have exited the taxi & see how that one flies  .

If you want to understand people from this background, you've GOT to see the movie "The Apostle" featuring Robert Duvall. Great flick...and very realistic related to fundamentalist Christianity throughout the US and Latin America. |

yeah VB calls for a taxi, send someone thats phucking hates me a driver that floors it and slams on the brakes throwing us thru the windshield a driver thats pissed because i phucked his daughter  Have a happy kitten day whatever the phuck that means

Are you talking about cabbies in the US or taxistas en San Jose? I don't get why someone who get bent out of shape regarding this thread. Just so y'all know.. I really don't LOVE Vegas Bob, though I'm sure he's a great guy.
