Well, I’m back in the saddle after a 2½ year hiatus. Rejoined CRT as a VIP after a very short but expensive marriage to a gal from Venezuela, not Costa Rica. Turns out she just wanted a green card after all, and most things went to downhill after she got it. Jeez, she was really patient for all those months BEFORE receiving it. (and I thought I was easy going and patient) Fortunately, all?? it cost me was the bucks to get her here, the trips and all associated money, the gifts etc. but no more than that. But hey, I went in with my eyes wide open. I actually watched for all the signs of a trickster. She was a sweetheart from a relatively small town in VZ, so I though MAYBE she wouldn’t or hadn’t been corrupted too badly. I met her at the museum in downtown SJ. Yep, even visited her twice in VZ as well and two other trips, one to CR and one to Panama. She was consistently the same each and every time as well as when she was here as well for all the months before she got her card. Am I in love with her, nahhhhh. Not any more, my wake up call came and went. I don’t wish her badly, but realize what’s done is done. I feel good that I could care like that again after so many years, but too old to hold on to things that will have no value in my life anymore. Well, now she has a right to be here, but NOT with me. Turns out, she has relatives in Florida Bitter?? Nah. That wastes way too much energy and is mostly unproductive. Pissed off? Yeah a little. Disappointed? Yep, absolutely, big time. But I have to be philosophical about it, it really ain’t the end of the world and could have been FAR worse I know that I should never say NEVER, but hopefully you guys will kick me, beat me, and make me write bad checks if I ever say the M word again in a serious context. Enough is eeeee f**** nough. SOOOOO……. I’ll be booking to CR in June to start live la pura vida una vez mas.. 3P Ps….Get Rhythm, I hope to see ya there again soon… |

Hey 3pbillygoat, bravo, you seemed to have walked through the fire unscathed. Ive considered marriage to a SA lady just to learn espanol. Knowing my history of relationships I would have to go in knowing it wouldnt last but a few years. This is just a thought, doubt i could pull the trigger. |

3P, Welcome back. Sorry things turned out the way they did. Prabably a good lesson in there for all of us. Things are not always as they seem. I've had a few close calls myself....I suppose we all have if the truth be known. ![]() I've seen more than one guy headed down that slippery slope.... me, watching from the sidelines, a little skeptical. ![]() All you can do is.....lick your wounds and move on. Guys, what's so good about being married? I've been married for over 20 years now and I don't see what's the big deal. The best time I ever had was when I was single. In top of that, you wanna marry a foreign woman you just met and have nothing in common with, and that 110% of the time is using you to get a green card for her and her boyfriend (husband)!? If you want to get married, in spite of what's said, your best bet is a gringa. ![]() |

Hey bro, Was wondering what the hell ever happened to you! Anyway, sorry things didn't work out, but I guess it's a lesson we all learn at some point. However, I'm still not sure 100% mongering is the be all and end all of human experience, so try not to be too bitter about things and keep an open mind about future possibilities. Try to make Memorial Day if at all possible - we'll be running by the clubs again one night. Missed out on Kelly this time, who was off Saturday night at Kamur - but was informed by former owner Newman that she's looking as fine as ever post-bebe. Best, GR |

Thanks all for the encouragement. This was the second and last time. 4 yrs the first time and 8 months this time. Figured I would have learned more after the first, but then I'm just a cantankerous old fart I guess. Gypsy--- Have to disagree. If I wanted a gringa, there sure are enough to go around here in Vegas. Best bet for me is single. And now I'm sure it is after this last fiasco of my own doing. I was perfectly deceived even though I looked for every warning sign known to modern man. LOOKED for it and she was still savvy enough to get by. For some, a gringa IS the answer. My point is, the M word is not for me. No real advantage for me at this stage in life. GR-- Nice to hear from you again. Mongering ain't the end all of human experience for sure, BUT right now it hits the spot. Down the road, who knows?? I hear Kelly is back and hot as ever. How well I remember. Is her sidekick Vanessa still there? What a hot night that was. LOL Redman-- Someone once said, possibly on this board, now matter how good lookin a woman is, somebody, somewhere in the world has to put up with her s****. 7 weeks and counting........ 3P |

Eight months, and a limited amout of money, isn't such a large price to pay for a mistake of such magnitude. Consider yourself lucky that at least she treated you well while she kept her eye on the prize. Most guys get treated badly in these situations right from the day they get married. I wonder if you availed yourself of the services (and head banging) of this group BEFORE you took the option of marraige to the Venezuelan chica. Welcome back. Now you have to pledge to the group that you will help those of us spreading the gospel of "considering the alternatives" to marraige or even a monogomous relationship with many of these chicas. Shortly we will be hearing from one of our "original" brothers who will announce that he has gotten on one knee and pledged his undying love and devotion along with a diamond ring,to a former ZB employee. (don't ask who it is,because it's certainly not my place to make these annoincements. Hopefully, for his sake, he will submit himself for the scrutiny of his peers before making any major decisions. |
